Oktober 2026
- ForeverDB 0.50.0: the rotation assistant rebuilt : The rotation assistant now follows what Forever lets addons see. Each spell is typed from the client's data: buffs and totems are kept up instead of spammed, with one seal, curse, aspect or stance at a time. Finishers wait for your spec's combo points, interrupts for your target to cast, taunts for a mob to leave you in a group. It skips spells your target can't take, like Exorcism on a beast or Frost on a water elemental. Tested against 142 game situations. Update the addon on CurseForge or Wago.
- ForeverDB 0.49.0: the Leveling window : A small panel to keep on screen while you level, in the place of Questie's tracker: your level and experience to go, your own pace (XP an hour and when the next level comes), how long your level takes ForeverDB players, the best zone for you now with a Take me there button, and the next steps of your quest plan with each quest's objectives and progress. Click a step for the arrow. Drag it, fold it or close it; it never writes in chat. Update the addon on CurseForge or Wago.
- ForeverDB 0.48.0: the leveling route in the game : Where to go next, on the ForeverDB window's Travel page, now counts where ForeverDB players at your level and faction really got the most XP an hour, and says how long your level takes them and what the fastest quarter does. The quest planner uses players' typical quest times too. The numbers fill in from launch day as players level with the addon, the same as foreverdb.net/leveling-route. Update the addon on CurseForge or Wago.
- The leveling route: where to go at each level, from how players really level : foreverdb.net/leveling-route shows, for Alliance and Horde, the zones to level in at each level and the quests worth doing. ForeverDB 0.47.0 times each of your levels, the zones you spend it in and the order you hand your quests in (only while you play, under a random code per character: never a name, realm or where you are), so from launch the page shows the zones that really give the most XP an hour, how long each level takes and what the fastest players do. Until then it shows the zones whose level range suits each level. Update the addon on CurseForge or Wago.
- Roleplaying and Roleplay-PvP: everything Blizzard has said so far : The rulesets page and the RP guide now cover Roleplay-PvP (coming at launch on 4 November, and planned for name reservation from 27 October), the game's own description of both RP rulesets, faction balance, what's shared across rulesets and the language setting. Blizzard hasn't published naming or behaviour rules for the RP rulesets yet; we'll add them the day it does.
- Launch guide: name reservation times, the 3-name limit and the first raids : The launch pages are up to date with Blizzard's latest posts: Early Name Reservation opens on 27 October (18:00 CET, 1:00 p.m. PDT, 07:00 on 28 October in Korea and Taiwan) and runs to 3 November, for up to three characters across all rulesets. Also: the beta closed on 23 October, the RP-PvP ruleset, raids opening on 9 December, and installing the game before launch. In English and Spanish.
- Spanish pages: Blizzard is Blizzard again : The Spanish pages often called Blizzard the company "Ventisca", the Spanish name of the Mage spell Blizzard, because our translation word list used the spell's name. 1,392 mentions now say Blizzard; where a text means the Mage spell, it still says Ventisca. Details on the corrections log.
- ForeverDB 0.46.0: ready for two-part names, and your finds without the Uploader : WoW Forever characters have a first name and a second name, and two players can share a first name. The addon now reads both: armory pages show and link the full name, and raid plans, ready checks, recipe sharing, the Helper's group sync and guild loot recognise players by their full name. Also new: if you don't run the ForeverDB Uploader, what vendors sell, what trainers teach, gathering spots, rares, flight times, quest rewards and the items you loot now reach foreverdb.net through other ForeverDB players, like the anonymous game facts. Never names or chat. Update the addon on CurseForge or Wago.
- Population: the most played classes and races : New page: which classes and races WoW Forever players pick, Alliance against Horde, class and race pairs and levels, for every region and realm. It counts the players ForeverDB addons see in game (ForeverDB 0.45.0 and later): each player once, under a scrambled code, never by name. Counting starts when the servers open on 4 November; until then it shows the beta's characters that players uploaded. Turn it off in the addon under Settings > Recording.
- Share articles in one click : Every ForeverDB article now has a small share bar at the top and the bottom: Reddit, Facebook, X, Bluesky, WhatsApp, email and copy link, plus your phone's own share menu. They're plain links, with no tracking scripts from those sites.
- Discord bot: patch notes for every new build : The ForeverDB Discord bot now posts each new game build's patch notes to your news channel: what changed for each class, with links to the abilities and talents, ForeverDB's article about the build when there is one, and the full changelog. Channels that already get new finds in the game files get them too, and /news subscribe has a new builds option. Type /patchnotes to post the newest build's changes in any channel, or pick an older build. Thanks to the player who asked for it.
- The WoW Forever live client: build 70532 datamined : ForeverDB now reads the WoW Forever release client (build 70532) instead of the beta. Every spell, talent, class ability and item the live client changed since the last beta build (70450) now carries a "Changed in the live client" note on its page with the beta value next to the new one, and nothing was taken off the site: Arcane Wrath, which is a Mage talent now instead of a trainer ability, stays listed on the Mage page, marked. The biggest changes: Champion of the Light (Retribution) is back to up to 20% of your Intellect per rank, Mage Frostbite and Permafrost swap places, Arcane Wrath becomes a talent, Frost Blast's spell power coefficient drops from 0.343 to 0.271, Winter's Chill is reworked, Amplify Curse gets its 20% Curse of Exhaustion back, and every pushback talent now reads "chance to not lose casting time". 44 items the release client still keeps hidden show their beta details, labelled, until a player finds them in game. The servers open again in about two weeks, and the hotfixes Blizzard pushes then will be picked up automatically.
- Rogue poisons on the Rogue page, and vendors' reputation factions : New: a Poisons tab on the Rogue page with every poison in the Forever client, the level you learn it, its reagents and skill colours, and the price at Forever's rogue trainers (what players' addons saw, before reputation discounts). It also lists the rogue trainers and poison suppliers, and how to learn Poisons at level 20 (Klaven's Tower for the Alliance, Hinott's Assistance for the Horde). Lethargy Root is still on Classic's supplier lists, but nothing in the Forever client uses it. Vendors in our developer API now say which faction's reputation discounts their prices. And four holiday recipes that only came from Lunar Festival quests (Festival Dress, Festival Suit, Firework and Cluster Launcher) now name that quest, labelled: the quests aren't in the Forever client yet.
- Recipe sources: every drop, trainers by title, retired items left out : Recipes now count every mob, chest and world drop that teaches them, not just the first four (the API lists them all). Next to the trainers players saw teach a recipe, the trainers with the same title as one players saw teach it are listed, marked inferred: Forever's trainers with one title teach one list (every Journeyman Blacksmith up to skill 75, every Expert up to 150). Items the game client itself names as retired ("OLD", "Deprecated") are no longer given as a recipe's source. Guardian Cloak was listed as learnable at skill 125 from a retired pattern, and is now learned at 160 from Pattern: Guardian Cloak. Same-name copies of a recipe are linked, and Season of Discovery leftovers are marked. Items that are still hidden in the game now have a basic page in our developer API.
- Profession trainers: Forever's own prices and trainers : Recipe prices at profession trainers now come from what players' ForeverDB addons saw at Forever's trainers, at full price (each player's reputation and Bartering discount taken off). Before, many showed a discounted price or Classic's. Forever's new trainer recipes, such as the blue Gemmed Copper Boots, Officer's Belt and Gilded Slippers, now list every trainer players saw teach them, with where they stand, and Forever's own trainers on Zephras Isle are on the trainer lists. Limited-supply recipes that were sold out when a player saw the vendor are listed again, labelled Classic data. And the loot from Blizzard's last-day beta celebration (copies of Molten Core gear dropping from starter mobs) is kept out of drop rates and sources, since it won't be in the game at launch.
- Addon 0.44.0: the New player guide and players' fastest routes : The ForeverDB addon now has a New player guide for your first 10 levels. It opens on your own starting area and shows only the next two or three things to do, then your route with quests ticked as you finish them, every place you'll look for (your class trainer, food, repairs, the inn, profession trainers) with an Arrow and a Map pin, your class quests and the best professions for your class. ForeverDB players on the same realm also share, inside the game, the order they hand quests in and how long each step took, so the guide can show the fastest route players have found (once 3 or more have shared). Only quest numbers and times are shared, never names or where you are. Also fixed: the dungeon helper's doubled button, tooltip and gear finder upgrade percentages that didn't match, and a boss shown as an NPC number.
- The ForeverDB Uploader for Linux : Playing WoW Forever on Linux with Lutris, Steam (Proton), Bottles, Heroic or Wine? The ForeverDB Uploader now runs on Linux too. One line in a terminal installs it for your user (no sudo). It finds the game in your Wine prefix, installs and updates the ForeverDB addons and their data, and uploads what the addon records after you play, in the background if you like. The addon pages also explain the other ways to install on Linux: by hand, or with the Wago app, WowUp or the CurseForge app.
- Beginner guides for every starting area, race and class (levels 1 to 10) : New guides for your first 10 levels: one for each starting area (Northshire Valley, Coldridge Valley, Shadowglen, Deathknell, the Valley of Trials, Camp Narache and Zephras Isle), one for each of the ten races, and one for every race and class, 56 in all. Each starts with what you need right now: where you appear, your first quest giver and your class trainer. Then where everything is (food, repairs, the inn, the mailbox, profession trainers, the spirit healer), with a map pin and the walk there, and the quests in a good order. Spots come from what players recorded in WoW Forever; Classic's data fills the gaps and is marked. Pick your race and class on the guides page, and see which professions suit your class.
- Addon 0.43.0: Merchant's Favor, library books, recipe sharing, enchants and sets, leylines : The ForeverDB addon's new pages: everything sold for Merchant's Favor at the Crossroads and in Redridge (costs, your balance, the recipes you don't know yet, how to earn Favor), a library books tracker, who knows a recipe among your characters and your guild (and other ForeverDB players who choose to answer), the best enchant for every slot and who can make it, item set buttons for your class, a search over all settings, and leylines and convergences: Skyborne players who use Read Leyline or Skysight put them on ForeverDB's maps.
- Leylines and convergences on the maps : A new layer on the world map and the 3D explorer shows leylines and elemental convergences, found by Skyborne players with the ForeverDB addon: when Read Leyline or Skysight gives its 15-minute buff, the spot is recorded. One player's find shows as not confirmed until a second player finds it too.
- The developer API in German and French : Add lang=de or lang=fr (next to lang=es and lang=es-MX) to any API request for the game's own German or French names: items, spells, recipes, item sets, classes, factions and zones, with the English kept alongside.
- Addon 0.42.0 in Spanish : The ForeverDB addon and the ForeverDB Helper now speak Spanish: every window, setting, tooltip line, message and panel, and ForeverDB's item, spell, zone, dungeon, profession and other names in the game's own Spanish (esES, or esMX in a Latin American game). Settings > General has Language / Idioma: Automatic (your game's language, or Windows' with the Uploader 2.9.0), English or Español. In a Spanish game the profession helper and Take me there now recognise your professions and flight paths too.
- Uploader 2.9.0 : The Uploader tells the addon your Windows language, so the addon's Automatic language setting can pick Spanish even when the game itself is in English.
- The developer API in Spanish : Add lang=es (Spain) or lang=es-MX (Latin America) to any API request for the game's own Spanish names: items, spells and recipes, item sets and their bonuses, classes, factions, zones, and spell and item-effect text. The English name stays next to it, and searches find Spanish names too. A guild's crafting-order bot asked for it.
- Addon 0.41.0: Data collection only : For players who only want to help with data: one switch at the top of the ForeverDB addon's Settings (also in Options > AddOns, and offered in the first-run setup) turns off everything you see or that acts in the game (tooltips, map pins, the quest arrow, panels, pop-ups, chat lines, the minimap button, auto repair and selling) and keeps recording drops, quests, vendors, disenchants and the rest for the Uploader. Switch it off and your settings come back exactly as they were. A ForeverRecipes developer asked for it.
- Disenchanting, vendor stacks, recipe and quest data in the API : Green armor no longer shows the weapon disenchant table (armor gives mostly dust, weapons mostly essence), and items the game won't let you disenchant (Lesser Magic Wand and others) show none. The developer API now gives vendor stack sizes and the price per item (Spring Water: 25 copper for 5), Merchant's Favor costs on recipe vendors, each recipe's category, every trainer, smelting's sources, and who starts and ends each quest, with where they stand.
- Drop chances with two decimals : Drop chances below 1% now show two decimals everywhere (item pages, dungeon and rare loot, best in slot, fishing, the Discord bot and Ask), so a rare recipe reads 0.02% instead of 0.0%. A player asked for it. The addon shows them too from version 0.40.0.
- Vendor prices without discounts : Players see vendor prices after their own reputation discount and the Bartering Legacy perk, so ForeverDB showed whichever price the last player paid. Item pages and vendors now show the vendor's full price.
- Disenchant odds and Merchant's Favor costs : Every uncommon, rare and epic weapon and armor page now says what disenchanting it gives, with the chance and how many, and the Enchanting guide has the full table: Classic's tables for now, replaced by what players measure in WoW Forever as it comes in (addon 0.40.0 with Uploader 2.8.0 records it). Vendors that charge Merchant's Favor or items show those costs under Sold by. In the API too: /api/v1/disenchant.
- API: where every recipe is learned : The developer API's profession answers now say where each recipe is learned: the trainers and vendors for each faction with where they stand, the vendor's price and whether stock is limited, the quests and drops that give it, and whether players saw each one in WoW Forever or it's Classic data.
- Gathering leveling guides: Herbalism, Mining, Skinning and Fishing : Each gathering profession now has a 1 to 300 guide: what to gather at every skill and the best zones for it, the ranks and the levels they need, what every herb, ore, leather and fish is used for, what it sells for on your side's auction house, Forever's own recipes for the profession, and tips. Every leveling guide is now also on each profession's page.
- ForeverDB API: professions, gathering, battlegrounds and changes seen in game : The developer API now has every profession with its recipes and trainers, the gathering data for Herbalism, Mining, Skinning and Fishing, every battleground, and the changes players saw in game stamped Verified or Not confirmed. The documentation lists them all.
- Changes seen in game : Every difference players' ForeverDB addons saw in WoW Forever compared with the game files (vendor and sell prices, quest XP and money, creature levels, item stats) is now on one page, each stamped Verified or Not confirmed, newest first.
- Battleground pages and addon 0.39.0: the battleground helper : Every battleground in WoW Forever has its own page: Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin, Alterac Valley and the new Darkspear Islands (with Blizzard's rules: first to 2000 points), plus Battle for Gilneas, Battle for Blackrock and Mak'gora Arena from the game client. Each shows how to win, its objectives on the map, and win rates by faction and match length from ForeverDB players. In game, the ForeverDB addon 0.39.0 shows a battleground panel with the score, which team is on pace to win, objective countdowns and flag carriers by class.
- PvP tracker: leaderboards and live world PvP : A new PvP page: leaderboards for PvP rank, honorable kills, this week's honor and kills, and battleground wins by realm, faction and class, plus a PvP tab on public armory characters. World PvP shows open-world fights and world battles on your realm as they happen, on the page and on the map, and where the fighting was over the last 30 days. Never a player's name: only how many, where and when.
- Addon 0.38.0: World PvP and battle alerts : The ForeverDB addon shares open-world fights between ForeverDB players (counts and a map spot, never names) and shows them on a World PvP page and your map, with a pop-up when a world battle breaks out near you. Your PvP rank, honor and battleground record now go with your character to ForeverDB. The ForeverDB Discord bot can post world battles to a channel too: /live subscribe with battles set to yes.
- ForeverDB API for developers : Build your own site, bot or tool on ForeverDB's WoW Forever data: items, spells, quests, vendors, dungeons, classes, item sets, our articles and Blizzard's posts, as JSON with an API key. Read the documentation and ask for access on the API page.
- Community forum : Talk WoW Forever with other players: post questions, stories, screenshots and polls on boards for classes, dungeons and raids, guilds and groups, and help. Link an item, spell or quest and it shows with its tooltip, and post as one of your characters with your guild. It's in the menu as Forum.
- Addon 0.37.0: Pet & supplies and best in slot in Search : The ForeverDB addon now keeps an eye on what runs out while you quest: your Hunter pet's happiness and the food in your bags it will eat (with a Feed Pet button), ammo, class reagents, bag space and gear about to break, each with the nearest vendor or repairer on your map. Search "bis" in the addon for your best gear in every slot for your class and spec. Also new: a Hunter pets page to find beasts to tame, and search across the addon's pages, settings, items and NPCs.
- Uploader 2.6.0 updates itself : From version 2.6.0 the ForeverDB Uploader installs its own updates: click Update and restart when a new version is out, and it downloads it, checks it and reopens. Download 2.6.0 once by hand; after that, updates are one click.
- Coach: the three things to change in a pull : Open a pull on the Replay page or in a shared report and pick the new Coach tab. It compares what a player did with ForeverDB's DPS simulator for the same class, spec, level, gear and fight length, and ranks the three changes worth the most DPS: casting gaps, damage over time and buffs that fell off, cooldowns left unused, abilities cast too rarely, running out of mana, missing consumables and deaths, each with a number and links to the exact moments in the replay. It is rules only, no AI, and the DPS numbers are estimates from the simulator. A log opened in your browser gives the full coach (your own casts and buffs stay in your browser); an uploaded report has damage, healing and deaths only. Moments can be linked: a report address with ?pull=1&t=42 opens that pull at 42 seconds.
- Talent calculator: no more refused clicks at the level cap : When your points run out below level 60, clicking a talent that could take a point now adds it and plans one level further, instead of refusing the click. The level and the points line follow, and crossing the beta cap says so by the talent. Tier and prerequisite rules still explain themselves.
- Tier lists: every list at a glance : Under each tier list, one table shows every spec's tier on all five lists (levelling, dungeon DPS, tanks, healers and PvP), so you can compare a spec without switching lists.
- Fewer clicks that do nothing : Cards for gear in the class guides, consumables, mounts, professions and boss abilities now open wherever you click them; tabs and filters that are already showing, and table headers that don't sort, no longer look clickable; server and maintenance posts show the server status right on the post; Items has quick picks and no longer opens on level 80 raid recipes; and on iPhone and iPad an item or spell link opens on the first tap.
- Road to 60 on armory pages : Characters you send with the ForeverDB addon now have a Journey tab: a timeline of every 5 levels with the day each was reached and how long it took since the level before, the first time ForeverDB saw the character, when each profession was learned and crossed 75, 150, 225 and 300, the first epic item, Legacy challenges and reputations. It is built only from what your uploads already sent. Copy its link to share it. The dated milestones show to others only when your milestone settings allow it; your own page always shows them. Open it from your characters on your profile.
- Auction prices over time on item pages : Item pages with auction house prices now draw the price over time: the median and the lowest buyout each day, for each realm and faction, from players' auction scans with the ForeverDB addon. A day nobody scanned shows as a gap, and an item seen on only one day says so.
- Our addon is called ForeverDB : Another addon called "Forever Companion" has come out, so the site now calls ours the ForeverDB addon everywhere, and the Companion is the part of it that helps while you play. Both pages also say how big it is, what stays packed until you use it and how to switch off what you don't use, and the beta page answers whether addon settings carry over to launch (Blizzard hasn't said; back up your WTF folder).
- Battlegrounds on the replay page : A combat log written in a battleground or arena now gives one pull for the whole match, named after the map, from the moment you enter to the moment you leave. Watch it back from above with your side's players by name and the other team only as Enemy 1, Enemy 2 and so on, with their faction, race and class: never their names. The meters count damage done to enemy players, healing, killing blows and damage taken, and a list shows which enemies you met. Fights against enemy players in the open world and duels get their own kinds too. All of these stay out of the PvE rankings, boss logs and dungeon statistics. Until the Companion's next update, which turns logging on in battlegrounds and arenas by itself, type /combatlog yourself before the match.
- Sign up for dungeon and raid groups : Group finder posts looking for players can now take sign-ups. The leader sets places per role (1 tank, 1 healer and 3 DPS for a dungeon, or a 10, 20 or 40-player raid) and an optional start time. Press Sign up as Tank, Healer or DPS and pick your character. When a role is full you go on the waitlist and move up when a place frees. The leader sees who signed up and accepts or declines each player; everyone else sees only the counts and classes. The same buttons are on group finder posts in Discord.
- Raid night in Discord: /raid : Officers can post the raid's comp as a picture with its buff gaps (/raid comp), the boss assignments as a Method Raid Tools note (/raid assign) and a roll-call with Ready, Not ready and Late buttons (/raid ready). Everyone can check their own gear (/raid gear), see their group and jobs (/raid me) and copy the raid code for the Companion (/raid code). The Companion's raid tools that read the code come in its next update.
- Raid calendar in Discord, synced with the site : Officers can create, edit and cancel raids from Discord with /event create, and members see the next two weeks with /calendar. Events can also show in your server's Events tab and in a calendar message the bot keeps up to date. Changes on the site reach Discord at once; changes made in Discord reach the site within a few minutes.
- Contributor XP and levels : Sharing game data now earns XP for what it adds, from a new quest to a revealed hidden item, plus corrections, tips and answers. Levels go from 1 to 60, with a new title every 10 levels and a Contributor badge. Upload XP is capped at 600 a day. If you share without an account, your XP waits until you make one.
- Discord cards look like the game's tooltips : /item and /spell in Discord now show the tooltip as a picture in the game's style, with real sources under it. The /discord page shows real replies, and you can try any name there.
- Screenshots in reports : You can attach up to 3 screenshots when you report a problem. They're saved again without hidden data such as location, only the ForeverDB team sees them, and they're deleted with your message.
- Hidden items tracker : Blizzard hid the stats of 12,597 WoW Forever items until someone finds them. foreverdb.net/hidden-items shows how many are revealed, the newest reveals, and how the addon and Uploader help reveal the rest.
- Server status now checks the realm too : The status page used to check only Blizzard's login server, which stays up while the realm restarts, so a restart showed as Up. It now also checks the beta realm's four game servers every minute, and the big box at the top shows whichever check is down. When many players press "I can't play right now" at the same time, the ForeverDB team gets an alert.
- The corrections log: every mistake we fix, in public : foreverdb.net/corrections lists every mistake players report on ForeverDB and every one we find ourselves, newest first: what was wrong, what we changed, who reported it, and how long the fix took, with how many are still open. A page we corrected says so, with the date. When you report a correction we can answer you under it as the ForeverDB team, and a "Wrong or missing data" message from the contact form can go on the log too if you leave its box ticked (only your report and the page, never your name or email). The first entry: Righteous Fury, thanks to a player's correction.
- The team's note shows under confirmed corrections : When we confirm or fix a correction you sent, the ForeverDB team's note (what was wrong and what we changed) now shows right under your correction, with a Confirmed or Fixed badge, instead of only when you hover over it.
- ForeverDB addon 0.27.0: the quest guide beside the map, safe routes and gathering spots : The full ForeverDB quest guide now sits in a pane beside the Map & Quest Log: the quest text, every step with an Arrow button, rewards against your gear, the chain, players' tips, and your own notes and saved spots (kept for all your characters; foreverdb.net shows a spot once two players save it, and a note only if you share it as a tip). The arrow is a 3D arrow that turns on the ground as you turn, and it no longer points in a straight line over mountains: it follows a walking route built from the WoW Forever client's own terrain, going round mobs well above your level, elites and enemy towns, drawn on the world map and the minimap. Herbs, ore, fishing pools and beasts to skin for your professions show on the maps as small item icons, with switches in the map's own filter menu, and a Routes & gathering page leads you round a gathering loop. New too: a short welcome the first time you log in, a quiet notice when a newer ForeverDB is out, and a privacy fix: the addon puts your character's name back to $N in the quest text it records. Mobs and gathering spawns are Classic data until players see them in Forever, and are labelled that way.
- Righteous Fury is a trainer ability, and the Protection tank builds use it : A player pointed out that Paladins can train Righteous Fury, and they were right: the client teaches it at level 16 (60% more threat from your Holy attacks for 30 min), but our data picked a leftover Season of Discovery copy of the spell and called it untrainable. The Paladin guides, builds and ability write-ups now tell tanks to use it, and the level 30 tank build takes Improved Righteous Fury (up to 6% less damage taken while it is on) instead of One-Handed Weapon Specialization. The same fix lists Tame Beast (level 10, from the Hunter quest) and the Druid's Frenzied Regeneration (level 36) correctly.
- Class quiz: which class should I play? : Not sure which class to pick? Answer twelve quick questions, one at a time and each skippable (your role, how you like to fight, leveling, PvP, buttons, pets, resource, look, faction, race, gold and getting into groups), and get the three classes and specs that suit you, why each fits, and the two best races for each with what their racials do in the Forever client, including the new race and class combinations and the Skyborne. Share your result with a link; the page shows how every point adds up and which parts are our judgement.
- Your BattleTag's number stays private everywhere : ForeverDB now shows only the name part of a BattleTag, never the #number: on tips, questions, presets, tier lists, combat logs and player pages, in emails, in the Discord bot and in your own account menu. Two players with the same name are told apart by their player page's link. The privacy policy also now says what the addon records as public game data (like Warcraft Logs and Raider.IO do), how to ask us to hide your character, and the personal data we never collect.
- Popular builds: what Forever players actually run : Each class's Builds tab and the talent calculator now show the talent builds players run in WoW Forever, from the talents the ForeverDB addon uploads: the top three builds per spec for levels 10-19, 20-29 and the level cap, how many players run each, and how often each talent is picked. Load one into the calculator with one click, or turn on "Show what players pick" to see pick rates on the trees. A build is listed only once two different players run it, one player can't fill the list, and no names are shown.
- Best in slot: the top three per slot, and the best enchant : Best in slot now shows the best item for each slot and the next two, with how far behind each is ("-4% vs best") and where it comes from. Filter by source: crafted, quest, dungeon, raid, world drop, vendor, PvP, or only items seen in Forever. Each slot also gets the best enchant, armor kit, scope or other enhancement in the Forever client for your spec and level, with an easier one when the best is hard to get.
- Share game data without an account : You can now send what the ForeverDB addon records without logging in: drop your file on the Send page, or let the ForeverDB Uploader (2.1.1 and later) send it when it isn't linked to an account; it asks first. Only game data goes: quests, drops, vendors, trainers and gathering spots, never your armory or your talent builds. What anonymous uploads say reaches the pages once an account or a second player confirms it. Logging in still gets you credit, your armory and syncing. Uploader 2.1.2 also sends the quest notes you chose to share as tips.
- A page about your free account before you log in : Log in now opens a short page first: what a free ForeverDB account adds, how the Battle.net login works (we get your account ID and BattleTag, never your password), what the addon and the Uploader collect, what we never collect, and how to delete your account. Tick "Skip this page next time I log in" to go straight to Battle.net.
- Hide my character, and less leaves your PC : You can now hide your own characters (one that's in public combat logs, or came only from a share code, is checked by an admin first): they show as "Hidden player" or are left out of the armory, character search, combat logs, rankings, guild rosters, loot logs and player pages. The upload box on the site now reads your ForeverDB file in your browser and sends only what the Uploader would; chat lines, private notes and spam-bot suspects never leave your PC. Character pages only list characters seen in public reports.
- Faster item search and easier browsing : The items list filters as you type without stalling, keeps its page in the link, and "Back to results" on an item takes you back to the same filters, page and scroll. Class pages have a switcher to another class on the same tab, dungeon pages list other dungeons for the same levels, profession pages switch professions, and whole rows (racials, spell ranks, guide steps) open when you click them. A tier list nobody has rated enough yet opens on forum opinion.
- Talent calculator: instant clicks and a − button : Talent points now go in at once. A maxed or locked talent shakes and the line above the trees says why; a small − takes a point back (always shown on phones), and Backspace or Delete removes one. In the gear planner, empty slots say "Pick an item", Show upgrades says how many it found, and the "Include speculative items" box works again.
- One addon download: ForeverDB with the Helper inside : The ForeverDB download now holds both folders, ForeverDB and ForeverDB Helper, so one install gets you the quest guide, arrow and recording as well as the dungeon and goals organizer. The Addons page and the home page now show them as one addon.
- ForeverDB addon 0.26.0: the full quest guide in the game : The ForeverDB addon has a new Quest guide page: foreverdb.net's quest guide in the game, for the quests up to the level cap and every quest seen in Forever. It opens on the quest you track, or pick any quest in your log or search for one. You get the quest text, every step with an Arrow button, where to hand it in, the rewards (money, experience, and the items you choose from compared with what you wear for your spec), the quest chain and, as players add them, the best tips from the quest's page. Each fact says whether it comes from the game, was seen in Forever, or is Classic data. Open it with the new Full guide button on the guide beside the quest log, or by clicking a quest on the Quests page.
- ForeverDB addon 0.25.1: quest pages filled in from what players see : The ForeverDB addon now records more about each quest as you play: who gives it and where, who takes it back, the objectives and how many, where the game's own quest map shows them, the rewards (with counts, and per class when they differ), the money and experience, and which quest it follows. Upload your file as usual and new WoW Forever quests get their giver, hand-in, objective areas and rewards on their quest pages, labelled "Seen in Forever" with how many players saw it. When players' reports differ, what most of them saw is shown. Your character's name is never saved or uploaded.
- ForeverDB addon 0.25.0: works with Blizzard's quest tracker, with a quest guide : The ForeverDB addon now works with the game's own quest tracker and quest log. Click a quest anywhere (the tracker, the quest log or a quest marker on the map) and ForeverDB's arrow points there, moving on to the next objective and the hand-in as you go. Blizzard's tracker shows how far each quest is, and opening a quest in the Map & Quest Log shows a ForeverDB guide beside it: where to go, what to kill or collect, the best reward for your spec, experience and the quest chain. New Forever quests use the game's own map spot until ForeverDB learns them. Free on CurseForge and on ForeverDB.
- Profession quiz: which two professions suit how you play : Can't decide which professions to take? Answer six quick questions (what you want, gathering or crafting, play time, PvE or PvP, your class, and whether you'd buy materials) and the best pair shows as you answer, with a runner-up. Each pick comes with reasons from the Forever client: best-in-slot gear for your class at the level cap, Forever's camp features, consumables and new recipes, and which gatherer supplies which crafter. You can share your result with a link, and the page shows how every point adds up.
- Player pages and a Following feed : Turn on your own player page on your profile: one page with your public characters (only the ones you tick), your tips and answers, your tier lists and your characters' milestones, such as every fifth level, profession tiers, Exalted and a first epic. It's off until you switch it on, shows your BattleTag's name without the number, and has no free text. Logged-in players can follow a page, or a single character its owner lets them follow, and see what's new on their private feed. Nobody sees who follows whom. You can also now delete your account yourself, at the bottom of your profile.
- ForeverDB addon on Wago too, and each version's changes : Besides CurseForge, the ForeverDB addon is now on Wago, with buttons for both in the header and on the addon pages. The addon page also lists what's new in each version, the same text as on CurseForge.
- Questions: ask anything, and an FAQ that grows from what you ask : A new Questions page for anything that isn't about one item or quest. Type your question and it first shows the answers that already exist, then gives you ForeverDB's instant answer from the game data, then lets you ask other players under a topic (classes, leveling, dungeons, professions, PvP, addons, launch). Questions players keep asking become FAQ entries with one clear answer and its sources, checked again on every new beta build, and they show on the pages they're about too.
- The ForeverDB Discord bot is live : Add the free ForeverDB bot to your Discord server: item, spell, quest, NPC, dungeon, boss, mount and talent cards, Ask ForeverDB with /ask, armory characters, and ForeverDB news, the group finder and your guild calendar in a channel. A new step-by-step guide shows how to add it and set it up.
- Stats explained: what each stat does for your class : How much crit does a Shaman get from Agility? A new page answers it for every class and level from 1 to 60: Agility per 1% crit, Intellect per 1% spell crit, attack power per Strength and Agility, health per Stamina, mana per Intellect, armor and block value, with a calculator for your own stats. The numbers come from a table only the Forever client has (Classic keeps them on the server). Ask ForeverDB answers these questions too.
- The Uploader now updates the ForeverDB Helper addon too : ForeverDB Uploader 1.9.1 keeps the ForeverDB Helper addon up to date as well as the Companion, and it now does so even if you only use the Helper. It only updates addons you already have installed, checks every download, and never goes back to an older version.
- Auction house prices : The Companion addon (0.24.0) now scans your auction house when you open it: each item's lowest and typical price on your tooltips, what your bags are worth, and a search, on its new Auction house page. Shared with ForeverDB (prices and quantities only, never who sells), everyone's scans make a new page with the most traded items, the biggest price changes and what's worth crafting to sell, an Auction house block on item pages with a price history, and real material costs in the profession leveling guides.
- Launch hub, live server status and a beta error checker : Everything about WoW Forever's launch on 4 November in one place, with a countdown in your time zone and answers to the common questions (release date, getting into the beta, names, editions, rulesets, the level 30 build, which class, race and profession). The status page checks Blizzard's login server every minute and shows Blizzard's maintenance notices; press "I can't play right now" to see if others can't either. Stuck on a loading screen? Drop your game's Connection.log on the beta errors page and it tells you what happened, without the file leaving your browser.
- Profession leveling guides and gathering maps : A leveling guide for every crafting profession: what to make at each skill and how many, a full shopping list, where to learn each recipe and when to train the next rank, worked out from WoW Forever's own recipes and skill colours (set your current skill and it starts from there). Plus herb and ore maps with the best zones for your skill, where to skin by level, where to learn every recipe on item pages, and crafted gear that's best in slot.
- The Uploader is optional : You no longer need the Windows app to share what the addons record. Pick your WoW folder once on your profile page and send with one click (Edge and Chrome), drag the folder onto the page in any browser, or copy a code from the ForeverDB Helper addon and paste it on foreverdb.net/send. The Uploader still does it all automatically if you like.
- Real Forever drop rates and clear times on dungeon pages : With the ForeverDB Helper addon and the Uploader, players' runs now feed the dungeon pages: drop rates seen in Forever (each kill counted once, however many in the group recorded it), clear times, kill times and wipes per boss, and the items players want most. Numbers only appear once there are enough runs, and they always say how many. Nothing with a name is ever sent; turn sharing off in the Helper's settings.
- One PvP weighting for guides and best in slot : The class PvP guides and the best-in-slot pages now use the same stat weights, and the guides' gear lists come straight from the best-in-slot picks. Alliance and Horde PvP rewards pair up properly, and you're no longer told to wear two items that share a limit (like two Battleground runes).
- Best in slot at any level, PvE and PvP : Pick your class and spec to see the best item for every slot at any level, with the next two picks, where each one comes from (which boss and how often, quest, recipe, vendor, PvP rank) and how easy it is to get. Switch to PvP for gear weighted for fighting players. Open the set in the gear planner or compare it with your own character.
- Forever's scrolls, and where to find them : All 38 of WoW Forever's new and changed scrolls (weapon imbues, familiars, Confuse Beast, Scroll of the Saber and more) with what they do. Nobody has recorded where they come from yet: loot or buy one with the Companion or Helper addon and it shows up here for everyone.
- New addon: ForeverDB Helper : Your dungeons, wishlist, goals, notes and runs in one window in the game. Plan a run boss by boss with abilities, tips for your role and the loot; star the items you want and it tells you when one drops, even for someone else in your group; set goals whose tasks tick themselves; keep notes your group can see; and every run is timed with your best time. Free, for any interface.
- The Windows app is now called ForeverDB Uploader : The free Windows app that keeps the Companion addon and its data up to date and uploads what the addon records (and your armory) is now called the ForeverDB Uploader. It's the same app with a new name and a new page: if you have it, there's nothing to do. It keeps its settings and its link to your account, and offers version 1.7.0 with the new name. The name ForeverDB Helper now belongs to a new in-game addon.
- Companion 0.23.0: a quest helper and a dungeon helper : The Companion addon now does what Questie and the dungeon helpers do, from ForeverDB's own data. Quests you can pick up, where to hand them in and where your objectives are show as pins on the world map and the minimap; a waypoint arrow points the way with the distance (click a pin, Shift- or Ctrl-click the map, or /fdb way 45 60); your coordinates show on the minimap and the cursor's on the world map; and a quest tracker lists your quests nearest first with their progress. Creature and item tooltips say which quest needs them. The new Dungeons page shows the dungeon you're in or the best for your level: bosses in order, the loot that's an upgrade for your spec, boss tips and your quest checklist, and a small panel inside dungeons tracks bosses killed and what could still drop for you. What players saw in Forever comes first; Classic data from CMaNGOS classic-db is always labelled. As you play, the addon notes where quest objectives happen, which fills in Forever's new quests for everyone.
- Companion 0.22.0: a proper settings page : Every setting of the Companion addon is now a tick box, a slider or a choice, with a line saying what it does, in sections on the ForeverDB window's Settings page, and the same settings are in Esc, Options, AddOns, ForeverDB Companion: change one and the other follows. Reset settings to defaults asks first and keeps your notes and recordings. Nothing needs a slash command any more: a new Raid & group page has the buff check, raid notes and your guild's soft reserves (paste a reserve code, see who reserved what), and a new Bots & spam page lists the players the bot check flagged, with Report and Ignore, and all its settings. /fdb commands still work as shortcuts that open the right page.
- Import your character from the game : Companion 0.21.0 adds a My character page (or type /fdb share): your class, level, talents, gear and professions as one short code. Paste it on the new Import from game page to see your character with item tooltips and enchants, sim its DPS, compare your gear with the best for your level, open your talents in the talent calculator, or copy a link to send to friends. Signed in, save it to your private armory with one click. No app to install, and your name is only in the code if you tick the box. The talent calculator, the simulator and the gear planner take the code too, and players without the ForeverDB Uploader app can now upload the addon's saved file on their profile instead.
September 2026
- Blizzard's videos, checked against the game files : When Blizzard posts a WoW Forever video on its own YouTube channel, ForeverDB now writes it up: every ability and talent the video names, checked against the beta client with its real numbers and level, and where the two disagree. The video plays right in the article, and Blizzard's own videos carry an Official label. First up: Class Highlights Part 1 (Warrior, Shaman, Rogue).
- Gold sellers and bots tracker : A new page names the gold-selling websites and Discord servers advertised in WoW Forever's chat (as plain text, never links), with how much gold spam and how many possible bots players see on each realm, day by day, and the zones where farming bots gather. It names businesses, never players: spam often comes from hacked accounts. Everything is anonymous counts from Companion 0.20.0 users, and a seller is listed only after 3 different players reported it on 2 realms or days and an admin checked it. Also: why buying gold gets you banned, and how to report spam and bots.
- DPS simulator : Sim a boss fight a thousand times for any of 20 DPS specs at level 20 (or 30): the average DPS with the spread of every outcome, damage by ability, stat weights, which item is better, A-against-B comparisons and a sample fight, from the game client's own abilities and talents, with every assumption labelled.
- Class changes vs Classic, rank by rank, with a Present mode for videos : Each class's Changes vs Classic page is now one simple list: filter by new talents, changed talents, removed or spells, or search, and pick a change to see Forever beside Classic Era. Every spell shows all its ranks side by side, with the changed numbers highlighted and written plainly (Shadow Bolt rank 10: 253–283 instead of 482–538), plus spell power coefficient, cost, cast time, range and duration where they changed (Shadowburn now reaches 30 yards instead of 20). Spell pages have the same All ranks vs Classic table. Present shows one change per screen in big, high-contrast text with no ads or menus, for screen-sharing on video: step through with the arrow keys. Season of Discovery leftovers are labelled, and spells that reuse a Season of Discovery ID are compared with their SoD version. From beta build 70124.
- Tier list maker: make, share and export your own tier list : Make a WoW Forever tier list in seconds: it opens with rows S to F and all 27 specs waiting, with their icons from the game client. Drag them into rows with a mouse or a finger (press and hold on a phone), tap one and then a row, or use the keyboard: focus an entry and press a row's letter or number. Switch the pool to classes, races (Skyborne included), professions or dungeons, or go custom and add any item, spell, mount or talent. Under More: rename, recolour, add or remove rows, set a title and a context (PvP, leveling, dungeons, raids, farming) and start from ForeverDB's own lists or a community list; pick an entry up to give it a note. Share copies a link that holds the whole list, no account needed, and Export image draws it at 1920×1080 for a video thumbnail or square for a post, with a small ForeverDB mark, to download or copy. Logged in, save your lists and publish them to the new community gallery, where players vote and each context gets a community average: players' opinions, labelled as such.
- Downrank calculator: the best rank of every spell : Which rank of a spell gives the most damage or healing for your mana, and which is fastest? Pick your class and a spell and the answer is at the top, worked out at the level cap with example gear: every learned rank's damage or healing per cast, per mana and per second (counting the global cooldown), and how long your mana lasts casting it. Adjust your level, spell or healing power, crit, mana, regeneration, fight length, enemy health or overheal, and the talents that change the spell. A chart shows where a lower rank overtakes a higher one as your gear improves, and every rank is set against Classic Era's. 68 Mage, Warlock, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Paladin and Hunter spells, all from the Forever client, which gives low ranks their full spell power share: Classic Era's low-level penalty isn't in it. It also answers the rumour that Forever sims spam rank 2 Shadow Bolt.
- Talent calculator: levelling order, Classic compare and presets : The talent calculator now records the order you take your talents in, one per level from 10 (or sooner with the Legacy perk Talented), and shows it beside the trees with the beta cap and next cap marked. Drag a level to move it or click it to change its pick; every level is checked against the tree's tier and prerequisite rules, and Fix the order moves a pick to the first level it works. Share links keep the order, old links still open on today's tree, and Copy for the Companion sends the plan to the addon. Compare with Classic marks every talent new or changed with "12% instead of 15%" rank by rank and lists the Classic talents Forever dropped. Builds loads a recommended build in one click, and a summary adds up what your talents do at level 20, 30 or the whole build, with the abilities they give. On phones the trees switch with tabs and a long press opens a talent's card.
- Rare spawns: every rare, where and when : A new rare spawn tracker: 354 rares and rare elites across 38 zones and 10 dungeons, 81 of them up to the level 20 cap. Pick a zone and see each rare's picture, level and when players last saw it in Forever; its own page has its spawn points on the zone map, how long it takes to come back, whether only one of its spawn points is up at a time, its notable loot and whether Hunters can tame it. Rares are also a layer on every zone map. The Forever game cache confirms which creatures are rare (Warlord Kolkanis so far); the rest are from Classic's data and labelled that way until someone sees them in Forever.
- Companion 0.19.0: gold spam and bot reports : The Companion now spots gold and boost spam in say, yell, whispers and the public channels (web addresses written to dodge filters, look-alike letters, real-money gold prices, account and power-leveling selling) and can hide it from chat, while ordinary trade like "WTS [Linen Cloth] 5g" and your guild, group and friends are never touched. It also notices players seen fighting or gathering in one spot for hours, as a hint. Out of combat and never in dungeons or battlegrounds, a small prompt offers to report them: Report opens Blizzard's own report window for that player (addons can't send reports, so you pick the reason and press Send), Ignore never asks again, and /fdb bots lists the last 7 days. The names stay on your PC; the Uploader app (1.5.0) shares only anonymous counts per realm and day.
- Soft reserves, loot log and attendance : Guild tools get what Classic guilds used softres.it and spreadsheets for, next to real loot tables and your calendar. Members soft reserve items on each event from that dungeon's or raid's loot, by boss (or search the client's items when there's no loot table yet); officers set how many each, hard reserves, when reserves lock, whether they're hidden until then, +1s and an attendance bonus, and export as text or CSV. Companion 0.18.0 shows who reserved an item on its tooltip and when it drops (the Uploader app 1.4.0 brings the reserves in, or paste a code with /fdb sr), and records who won each item, so the loot log fills itself from members' uploads, matched to your events, with whether the reserve was honoured. Attendance over 4 and 12 weeks, lates and no-shows come from sign-ups and who was actually in the group. Private to the guild.
- Group finder : Find a group for any WoW Forever dungeon, raid, quest or PvP, or players for yours: post LFG or LFM with your realm, faction, ruleset, level range, the roles you need and a short note, and filter by realm, faction, dungeon, role and level. The list refreshes by itself, posts last an hour (bump once), and the Whisper button copies /w Name-Realm for the game's chat. Every dungeon page links to its groups, and in Discord /lfg post, /lfg list and /lfg subscribe do the same.
- Guild recruitment board : Guilds recruiting ahead of launch, and players looking for a guild. Officers post for their guild (proven from the Companion's guild roster): realm, faction, ruleset, focus, raid nights shown in each visitor's time zone, the classes and specs they want, language, a description and a Discord invite, with the guild's size and its progress from public combat logs. Players post a profile or apply with one message; officers accept or decline in guild tools' new Applications tab and get new applications in Discord.
- Guild events in Discord, with sign-up buttons : Link your guild's ForeverDB calendar to a Discord channel (/guild link, with a code from guild tools) and the bot posts each new event with the sign-ups by role and Accept, Tentative, Late, Bench and Absent buttons and a role menu. The message updates as people sign up there or on ForeverDB, reminders come from the bot, and /event list shows what's next, with a gear check summary for officers. Members link their Discord account once from their profile (/link).
- Guild tools : Run your guild from ForeverDB: officers post dungeon and raid nights (once or every week) with role limits, members sign up with a character, role and status, and officers confirm, bench and sort groups that open straight in the raid planner. New events and a reminder before each one go to your Discord channel, members can get reminder emails and a private calendar feed, and a gear and readiness check shows green, amber or red for everyone who shares, with the reasons and the items they're missing. Membership is proven from the Companion addon's guild roster (Companion 0.17.0), and each character is only shared with the guild if its owner switches that on.
- Tips & questions : Every item, spell, quest, dungeon, boss, class, talent tree, zone map, guide and news post has a Tips & questions block at the bottom: share how to get it, how to beat it or what it's good for, ask other players (and accept the answer that helped), or tell us what's wrong on the page. Posts are short and plain, show the game build they were written on, and sort by players' votes, with the best tip pinned. When ForeverDB checks a tip or correction against the client or players' data it says "Confirmed by ForeverDB", and "Fixed" once a correction is fixed. Unanswered questions get an automatic answer from ForeverDB's own data, marked as ForeverDB's. Log in with Battle.net to post; you can show one of your public armory characters next to your name. Recent posts from across the site are on the new Tips & questions page.
- ForeverDB Discord bot : Add ForeverDB to your Discord server: /item, /spell, /quest, /npc, /dungeon, /boss, /mount and /talent answer with cards drawn like the site's tooltips (icon, quality colour, stats, where to get it and the same Forever client, Seen in Forever, Classic data or Speculation label), with names that autocomplete as you type. /ask answers questions from ForeverDB's data with its sources, /character shows public armory characters, and /news subscribe posts new articles, Blizzard's posts and new finds in the game files to a channel of your choice. It never reads your server's messages.
- Dungeon guides : Every dungeon and raid has a full guide: level range and group size from the client, where the entrance is and the nearest flight master, the bosses in order with their models, abilities and tips by role, a loot table you can filter by slot and class, quests, videos and sources. The Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron list the loot the client ties to them, such as the Rotmender's Raiment set, labelled as unconfirmed until players see it drop. The dungeons page has a "Dungeons for level X" view for the level 20 cap and the next one, and shows what each dungeon's loot is worth going for. Every fact says where it comes from: the client, players' drops, Blizzard or Classic.
- Lore for roleplayers : A lore section for roleplayers: every race including the Skyborne, every class, all the factions (with the new Kirin Tor, Earthen Ring, Guardians of Hyjal, Nightclaw Druids, The Watchers, Theramore Expeditionary Force and Darkspear Raiders), Forever's new places, when Forever's story is set in Blizzard's own words, and an RP guide to the Roleplaying ruleset, two-part names, languages and emotes. Written from the game client and Blizzard's posts, with every quote checked word for word and anything unannounced, like Gilneas, marked Speculation.
- Macros for every class : Ready-made macros for all nine classes and every character, with the code to copy, what each one does, how to use it and the level it needs: focus and mouseover crowd control and interrupts, mouseover heals and dispels, stance and form macros, pet control, potions and healthstones in the right order, and Forever's new racials. Every spell name, rank and command is checked against the game client. Each class page has a Macros tab too.
- Mounts page : Every mount in the game files with a picture of each: its speed, the riding it needs, the item that teaches it, Alliance or Horde, its price and where it comes from, with the 39 new ones first. Mounts are much cheaper than in Classic.
- Faction pages : Each faction has its own page: who can earn it and where they start, how you earn it, every reward by standing, and its battleground, titles and Legacy challenges. The Kirin Tor, Earthen Ring, Guardians of Hyjal, Nightclaw Druids, The Watchers, Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force are new.
