Players report Kreg Bilmn's throwing weapons are back up to the client's full price

· ForeverDB
On 5 November three players' ForeverDB addons saw the Kharanos vendor Kreg Bilmn charging the Forever client's full price for four starter thrown weapons again, after an earlier hotfix had sold them cheaper. Blizzard hasn't announced it.
Player reports, not confirmed by Blizzard. The before-and-after prices below are what players' ForeverDB addons saw at the vendor in the game, not the client's files and not a Blizzard post. Vendor prices are set on Blizzard's servers, so a change like this does not show up in the downloaded game files.
On 5 November three players (two with an account) uploaded the same thing through their ForeverDB addons: the vendor Kreg Bilmn was charging more for four basic thrown weapons than he had been. Each buy price went back up to the figure listed in the Forever beta client. An earlier hotfix, which players' addons had logged, sold these same weapons cheaper; this reading puts them back at the client's full price. Because the addon reads the price straight from the vendor window in the game, it looks like a server-side change rather than a new client build.
What players' addons saw
Each line is the earlier hotfix price players had seen, then the price the addon saw now:
- Balanced Throwing Dagger (Balanced Throwing Dagger): 30c, now 2s 99c.
- Weighted Throwing Axe (Weighted Throwing Axe): 30c, now 2s 99c.
- Small Throwing Knife (Small Throwing Knife): 15c, now 42c.
- Crude Throwing Axe (Crude Throwing Axe): 15c, now 42c.
Seen by 3 players (2 with an account) across 3 uploads, all on 5 November 2026.
What the client says
All four are thrown weapons in the beta client, the ranged-slot items that Warriors, Hunters and Rogues can use. The client stores each item's buy price: 2s 99c for Balanced Throwing Dagger and Weighted Throwing Axe, and 42c for Small Throwing Knife and Crude Throwing Axe. Those are the prices players saw now, so the new figures match the client's files, and the lower 30c and 15c prices were the earlier hotfix. For reference, the client lists their vendor sell-back values as 59c for the dagger and axe and 8c for the knife and crude axe, the usual five-to-one vendor markup.
Who Kreg Bilmn is
In Classic Era, Kreg Bilmn is an Alliance general goods vendor at the Thunderbrew Distillery in Kharanos, the Dwarf and Gnome starting town in Dun Morogh, and he stocks starter thrown weapons for new characters (Warcraft Wiki: Kreg Bilmn). So the price mainly matters to low-level players stocking up on a cheap ranged attack.
Speculation. The earlier cut to 30c and 15c showed up at several vendors across October, among them Ariyell Skyshadow and Joshua Kien. This reading puts Kreg Bilmn back at the client's listed price, so it may be that earlier cut being undone. We can't confirm the reason, and Blizzard hasn't mentioned it in any development notes we track, so this is only a guess.
It's a small change, but a real one for new characters, and it moves the other way from the price cuts players reported last month. We'll update this page if more uploads confirm the same prices, or if a new build or a Blizzard post settles it. Everything the addons spot in game is on our Live World and change tracking.
