How do you get into the WoW Forever beta?
You get into the WoW Forever beta in one of two ways: opt in for a chance to be picked, or buy an eligible bundle, the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026) (Blizzard, 12 Sep 2026).
The two ways in
- Opt in: players who opted in can be selected, and Blizzard says invitations go out regularly (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026).
- Buy a bundle with beta access: the Skyborne Epic Pack includes beta access beginning 17 September, and the Warcraft Forever Collection contains everything in the Epic Pack. The Skyborne Heroic Pack doesn't list beta access (Blizzard, 12 Sep 2026).
When the beta runs
The beta opened on 17 September 2026 and runs through 21 October, the last full day of testing (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026) (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026). Launch follows on 4 November (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026).
The level cap
The cap was 20 when the beta opened, with 30 promised later in the beta (Blizzard, 17 Sep 2026). Blizzard took the beta offline on 1 October and brought it back with a new build and the cap raised to 30 (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026) (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026).
The beta's level cap is 30 now (client build 1.60.1.70170). What changed at level 30.
Two licenses on one Battle.net account
Some players with more than one WoW license found that a second login disconnected the first, because the beta has no account selector. A community manager suggested trying a PTR account from the Starter Editions & Public Test Regions section of your Battle.net account page (Blizzard, 18 Sep 2026).
If you can't get in at all, the server status page shows whether Blizzard's login server is up, and the beta errors page reads your game's log to tell you where the login stopped.
