What did the WoW Forever level 30 beta build add?

The build that went live after the 1 October maintenance raised the beta's level cap to 30, added a new dungeon, Excavation Site: Wetlands (levels 26-31), opened Razorfen Downs and Uldaman, and cut the extra experience from dungeon quests by 50% (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026).

Dungeons

Leveling

"Dungeon quests now reward 50% less extra experience beyond normal quest values." Blizzard's note says it heard a lot of feedback about testers leveling too fast (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026). Campfires no longer hurt players below level 5, and do less damage to players under 90% health (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026).

Classes

Every class got changes in the same notes, for example Tiger's Fury removed for Druids, and Bear Form and Dire Bear Form generating 75% more Rage on a critical strike (Blizzard, 1 Oct 2026). Our write-up Level 30 build goes live goes through them class by class.

What changed in the game files

We compare every beta client build with the one before. Here's what build 1.60.1.70170 changed in the data, with every tooltip before and after on the changelog page.

Build 1.60.1.70170 (2 October 2026): 52 class abilities and 54 talents changed, 3 new talents, 984 spells changed and 39 new, 515 items changed and 11 new, 39 armor sets changed.

These are beta changes, and anything can still change before launch. Blizzard sets the level cap on the server, so it isn't in the client files.
