Druid macros for WoW Forever: shapeshifting on fewer keys, shifting out of roots and slows, Bear and Cat openers, Feral Charge, Bash and Growl on your focus or mouseover, mouseover heals with self-cast, cures, Rebirth in combat and Forever's new Revive out of it, buffs and crowd control. In Forever, Cat Form comes at level 20 from the quest The Great Cat Spirit, Feral Charge is a new Feral talent at the level 20 tier, and Furor works differently, which changes what powershifting is for.
19 Druid macros for WoW Forever, each with the code to copy, what it does, how to use it and the level it needs. Every spell name, rank and command is checked against the Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70170); none has been tested in the beta yet. Macros above the level 30 cap are marked Speculation.
Conditions like [form:1] count your forms in the order the stance bar shows them, and that depends on which forms you know. Bear Form is always 1 (Dire Bear Form takes its place). Aquatic Form is 2 if you have it, so Cat Form is 3 with Aquatic Form and 2 without, and Travel Form comes after. The macros here only use [form:1] and conditions that don't depend on the count: [noform] (caster form), [stealth], [swimming] and [outdoors]. Every form costs mana to enter: Bear Form and Cat Form cost 55% of your base mana in the client.
Shift out of roots and slows into Cat Form
#showtooltip Cat Form
/cancelform
/cast Cat Form
What it does. Drops whatever form you're in and shifts straight into Cat Form on the same press. If you're already in caster form, it just shifts.
How to use it. Press it when you're rooted or slowed in Cat Form. You come out of it in Cat Form, free to run.
Why it's useful. The client's form tooltips say shapeshifting frees you of Polymorph and movement-impairing effects. /cast Cat Form on its own would only take you out of Cat Form; /cancelform isn't a cast, so the shift back in still happens on the same press.
Usable from level 20. 48/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Each shift costs 55% of your base mana and triggers the global cooldown, so you can't do it often.
Forever changed Furor: shifting into Cat Form gives back a share of the Energy you had when you were last in Cat Form (100% at 5 points), plus some for each second spent out of Bear and Cat Form. Classic's powershifting for a flat 40 Energy isn't in the client, so this macro is for escaping, not for Energy.
Aquatic Form in water, Cat Form on land
#showtooltip
/cast [swimming] Aquatic Form; [mod:shift, outdoors] Travel Form; Cat Form
What it does. Shifts into Aquatic Form when you're swimming, and Cat Form on land. With Shift outdoors, Travel Form.
How to use it. Use it as your getting-around key. Press it again in the same form to shift back to caster form.
Why it's useful. Three ways to move faster on one key that picks the right one for water. You never cast Cat Form in a lake by mistake.
Usable from level 20. 86/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Travel Form needs level 30 and only works outdoors; until then Shift does nothing. It's on a modifier because a macro doesn't skip a form you haven't learned: it would try it and fail.
Aquatic Form comes from a class quest at 16 and Cat Form from a quest at 20.
Bear Form, then Maul (Swipe with Shift)
#showtooltip
/startattack [form:1,harm,nodead]
/cast [form:1,mod:shift] Swipe; [form:1] Maul; Bear Form
What it does. Out of Bear Form, it shifts you into Bear Form. In Bear Form, it starts your auto-attack and uses Maul, or Swipe with Shift.
How to use it. Use it as your main bear key: the first press puts you in Bear Form, the next ones Maul. Hold Shift against packs.
Why it's useful. When a pull goes wrong you want to be a bear and hitting things with as few keys as possible. This does both from one key in any form.
Speculation: Needs level 32 (Ravage), above the beta's level 30 cap. 69/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Ravage needs level 32 and Pounce 36. Before 32 the key does nothing while you prowl (it tries Ravage) and is Claw out of stealth. Both openers must be used from Prowl and behind the target, going by the client's tooltips.
Pounce stuns for 2 sec and bleeds the target; Ravage does 350% damage plus a bonus. Both award 1 combo point.
Feral: charges, stuns and taunts
Forever's Feral Charge is a new talent at the level 20 tier. Its tooltip describes the bear charge (it immobilises the enemy and interrupts spellcasting for 4 sec) and then quotes the cat version: "Leap behind an enemy." The spell's form list is Cat Form, Bear Form and Dire Bear Form.
What it does. Uses Feral Charge on your target and starts your auto-attack.
How to use it. Press it on an enemy between 8 and 25 yards away. In Bear Form, use it on a caster to interrupt its spell.
Why it's useful. After a charge you want to be swinging at once. In the client Feral Charge isn't on the global cooldown, so both lines work on one press.
Usable from level 20. 57/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
15 sec cooldown and 5 Rage in the client's spell data.
The bear effect is spelled out in the tooltip; the cat effect is only "Leap behind an enemy", so how it behaves in Cat Form isn't clear from the client.
Usable from level 10. 57/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
In the client Growl has an 8 sec cooldown, isn't on the global cooldown, needs Bear Form or Dire Bear Form and has a 5 yard range.
It does nothing if the enemy is already attacking you.
Healing, cures and resurrection
The heals go on the friend under your mouse, then your friendly target, then yourself. Hold Alt to heal yourself whatever you're pointing at. Healing spells don't work in Bear or Cat Form, so the first macro shows how to leave your form on the same press.
Usable from level 4. 83/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
/cancelform takes you out of form even when the heal then fails (out of mana, on the global cooldown). If a heal ever fails with a shapeshift error, press again: the first press will have left the form.
Getting back into Bear or Cat Form costs 55% of your base mana, so you'll often stay in caster form.
Healing Touch on your mouseover, Shift for a cheap rank
What it does. Casts your highest Healing Touch on the friend under your mouse, your friendly target or yourself (Alt: always yourself). With Shift, rank 2 instead.
How to use it. Use plain Healing Touch for big hits and Shift for top-ups. Change Rank 2 to suit your level: rank 3 (level 14) heals 179 to 223 for 110 mana.
Why it's useful. At level 20 your best rank heals 325 to 399 for 190 mana with a 3 sec cast. Rank 2 heals 88 to 112 for 55 mana in 2 sec, which is plenty for chip damage.
What it does. Activates Nature's Swiftness and casts Healing Touch on your mouseover, friendly target or yourself. Nature's Swiftness makes it instant.
How to use it. Press it when the tank is about to die and a 3 sec cast would be too slow.
Why it's useful. Nature's Swiftness only helps if the big heal follows at once. On one key it can't go on the wrong spell.
Usable from level 14. 168/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
In Forever Remove Curse also removes Banes: the client's tooltip says "Dispels 1 Curse or Bane". It needs level 24; Cure Poison comes from a class quest at 14.
From level 26, Abolish Poison cures a poison and another one every 2 sec for 8 sec: swap it in for Cure Poison.
These don't work in Bear or Cat Form. Add /cancelform as the second line if you want the macro to leave your form first.
What it does. On a dead friend under your mouse (or your dead target): in combat it casts Rebirth, out of combat it casts Revive.
How to use it. Point at a dead player's frame or corpse and press it. [combat] checks your own combat state.
Why it's useful. Revive is new in Forever: a Druid resurrect for after the fight, with no cooldown. Rebirth has a 30 min cooldown in the client, so you don't want to spend it when Revive would do. One key picks the right one.
Speculation: Needs level 40 (Innervate), above the beta's level 30 cap. 85/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
In the client Innervate raises the target's mana regeneration by 400% for 20 sec and lets all of it continue while casting. 6 min cooldown, level 40.
Buffs, crowd control and travel
Help for the group and control of single enemies, without changing target.
Mark of the Wild, or Thorns with Shift, on your mouseover
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift,@mouseover,help,nodead][mod:shift,help,nodead][mod:shift,@player] Thorns; [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player] Mark of the Wild
What it does. Casts Mark of the Wild on the friend under your mouse, your friendly target or yourself. With Shift, Thorns.
How to use it. Buff the party from their frames before a dungeon, and put Thorns on the tank.
Why it's useful. Buffing a party takes a few seconds without clicking each player, and you never cast them on an enemy.
Usable from level 8. 99/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Forever's tooltip: you may only have 1 target rooted at a time, and damage may break it. It no longer says "Only useable outdoors", which the client's older text did.
What it does. With Shift held, makes the enemy under your mouse (or your target) your focus and puts it to sleep. Without Shift, re-sleeps your focus, or your target if you have no focus.
How to use it. At the pull, point at the Beast or Dragonkin to sleep, hold Shift and press. Press it on its own whenever it wakes.
Why it's useful. Setting the focus and casting on it is one press, and afterwards you never sleep the tank's target by mistake.
