Gold sellers and bots in WoW Forever
The gold-selling websites and Discord servers advertised in WoW Forever's chat, and how much gold spam and botting players see on each realm, day by day. Everything here was seen by ForeverDB Companion users and shared as anonymous counts. It names the businesses, never players.
This week: 1 spam messages seen on 1 realms by 1 Companion users; 0 gold sellers tracked.
Gold sellers seen advertising
No seller has passed the bar yet: 3+ different players, 2+ realms or days, and a review.
Realms ranked by spam
- Classic Beta PvP: 1 spam messages and 1 possible bots in 30 days
How this works, and its limits
- Counts come from Companion users who share anonymous counts, not from every player: a sample, so the real numbers are higher.
- No names, ever: gold spam often comes from hacked accounts of real players, and a player farming for hours may just be patient.
- A website or Discord server is listed only after 3 different players reported it, on 2+ realms or days, and an admin approved it. Sites players share and personal contacts (Skype, Telegram, WhatsApp names) are never collected.
- Addresses are shown as text with the dot broken, never as links, so they get no visitors or search ranking from here.
Why buying gold gets you banned
Buying gold breaks Blizzard's terms of use, and Blizzard has said it will increasingly act against the accounts that buy gold, not just the sellers. The gold is farmed by bots or stolen from hacked accounts.
How to report spam and bots in game
Right-click the sender's name in chat, Report, Inappropriate Communication > Spam; for a bot, right-click their portrait, Report, Cheating > Botting. The ForeverDB Companion's Report button opens Blizzard's report window for you.
