Priest macros for WoW Forever: heals, shields and Renew on the friend under your mouse, a Dispel Magic that cleans friends and strips enemies, Fear Ward on your tank, Psychic Scream and Silence that cut your own cast short, Shackle Undead on your focus, and buffs on one key. Forever gives Fear Ward to every Priest, makes Prayer of Healing a targeted spell that heals the target's party, and ties 12 Priest spells to one race each; the racial macros here say which race they're for.
20 Priest macros for WoW Forever, each with the code to copy, what it does, how to use it and the level it needs. Every spell name, rank and command is checked against the Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70170); none has been tested in the beta yet. Macros above the level 30 cap are marked Speculation.
Every heal here goes to the friend under your mouse, then your friendly target, then you. None of them can pick the most injured player for you: you choose who to heal by where you point.
What it does. Casts Heal on the friend under your mouse, or your friendly target, or yourself. With Shift held it casts Flash Heal on the same person.
How to use it. Bind it to your main heal key and point at party frames. Use Heal for steady damage and Shift for Flash Heal when someone needs it fast.
Why it's useful. Your big heal and your fast heal on one key, and you never drop your enemy target to heal.
Usable from level 16. 159/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
In the client, Heal rank 1 (level 16) heals 270 to 312 with a 3 sec cast for 155 mana. Flash Heal rank 1 (level 20) heals 174 to 214 with a 1.5 sec cast for 125 mana.
Before level 16, use the Lesser Heal macro below.
A macro can't read health bars: it heals whoever you point at, not whoever is lowest.
Usable from level 6. 103/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
In the client, rank 1 (level 6) absorbs 44 damage for 30 sec, with a 4 sec cooldown. Once shielded, the target can't be shielded again for 15 sec (Weakened Soul). The macro can't check for Weakened Soul, so pressing it on someone who has it just fails.
The Human Priest spell Divine Grace removes Weakened Soul: see the racial macros below.
What it does. Uses Inner Focus, then casts Flash Heal on the friend under your mouse, your friendly target or you. Inner Focus makes that Flash Heal free and gives it 25% more critical chance.
How to use it. Press it when you're low on mana and need a quick heal, or when someone needs a big one. When Inner Focus is on cooldown, the key just casts Flash Heal.
Why it's useful. Inner Focus works on your very next spell. Tying it to a heal makes sure it isn't wasted on a Smite you didn't mean.
Usable from level 20. 106/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Inner Focus is a Discipline talent (level 20 tier). In the client it has a 3 minute cooldown and no global cooldown, so both lines go off on one press.
Every press uses Inner Focus when it's ready. Don't make this your everyday Flash Heal key.
At level 40, Greater Heal is the better spell to put after it.
Prayer of Healing on your mouseover's party
#showtooltip Prayer of Healing
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player] Prayer of Healing
What it does. Casts Prayer of Healing on the friend under your mouse, or your friendly target, or you. It heals that player and their party.
How to use it. In a raid, point at anyone in the group that took the damage and press it. In a party, it heals your own party wherever you point.
Why it's useful. In Forever, Prayer of Healing has a target: the client's tooltip says it "heals the target and their party", and party members must be within 40 yards of the target. With a mouseover you can heal another raid group without leaving your own target.
Usable from level 30. 85/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Penance is a Discipline talent (level 30 tier). In the client, rank 1 deals 81 Holy damage to an enemy or heals an ally for 184, at once and then every 1 sec for 2 sec, with a 12 sec cooldown.
Dispels, buffs and resurrection
Help for your group without changing target.
Dispel Magic that helps friends and strips enemies
What it does. Casts Dispel Magic on whoever is under your mouse: on a friend it removes a harmful spell, on an enemy it removes a buff. With no mouseover it goes on your target, and with no target on you.
How to use it. Point at a friend with a harmful magic effect to clean it, or at an enemy with a shield or buff to strip it, and press.
Why it's useful. Dispel Magic works on friends and enemies, so one key covers both. That's handy in PvP, where you do both in the same fight.
What it does. Power Word: Fortitude on its own, Divine Spirit with Shift and Shadow Protection with Ctrl, each on the friend under your mouse or on you.
How to use it. Before a pull, point at each party frame and press it. Use Ctrl for Shadow Protection before fights with a lot of Shadow damage.
Why it's useful. Buffs you hand out often share one key and go on the right person without a target swap.
Usable from level 1. 227/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Divine Spirit and Shadow Protection need level 30 in the client, the beta's current cap; until then those modifiers do nothing.
In the client Fortitude and Divine Spirit last 1 hour and Shadow Protection 10 minutes.
Fear Ward on your mouseover or the tank
#showtooltip Fear Ward
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead][@focus,help,nodead][help,nodead][@player] Fear Ward
What it does. Casts Fear Ward on the friend under your mouse, else your friendly focus, else your friendly target, else you.
How to use it. Make the tank your focus. Before a fight with fears, press it with your mouse away from the frames and it goes on the tank.
Why it's useful. A feared tank means enemies loose on the healers. The ward only needs to be on one person, and the focus makes sure it's the right one.
What it does. Casts Shackle Undead on your focus, else the enemy under your mouse, else your target.
How to use it. Set the undead enemy to keep out of the fight as your focus before the pull. When the shackle breaks, press this without changing target.
Why it's useful. Re-shackling the same enemy while you heal the tank is a Priest's main crowd-control job in undead dungeons.
Usable from level 30. 94/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Silence is a Shadow talent (level 30 tier). The client's tooltip says it prevents the target casting spells for 5 sec and interrupts its spellcasts for 3 sec, with a 45 sec cooldown and a 20 yard range.
/stopcasting throws away your current cast: don't spam this key.
Damage
Levelling Priests rely on Shadow Word: Pain and the wand.
Usable from level 1. 31/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Casting any spell stops the wand; press the key again afterwards.
The Wand Specialization talent in the Discipline tree raises wand damage.
Race-only Priest spells
The Forever client teaches 12 Priest spells to one race each: Human Divine Grace and Feedback, Dwarf Desperate Prayer and Chastise, Night Elf Starshards and Elune's Grace, Undead Touch of Weakness and Dark Sacrifice, Troll Hex of Weakness and Shadowguard, Gnome Confounding Flash and Contingency Plan. Each macro here says which race it's for.
What it does. Casts Divine Grace on the friend under your mouse, or on your friendly target.
How to use it. Press it when the tank drops below half health. Right after, you can shield them again, because it removes Weakened Soul.
Why it's useful. It's an instant emergency heal that also lets you use Power Word: Shield a second time. Both only help if they land on the right person at once.
Usable from level 10. 82/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Human Priests only. In the client, rank 1 (level 10) instantly heals a friend below 50% health for 131 to 167 and removes Weakened Soul, with a 10 minute cooldown.
The client's tooltip says it can't be cast on yourself, which is why there's no self fallback.
Usable from level 20. 119/255 characters. Not yet tested in the beta.
Gnome Priests only, level 20. In the client it lasts 30 sec on the ally: the next time damage drops them below 35% health, they get an absorb shield and a heal over 15 sec. It has a 10 minute cooldown.
