Which professions should you pick in WoW Forever?
Take two primary professions that work together, such as a gathering profession that feeds a crafting one, and add the secondary ones (Cooking, First Aid and Fishing) on top: below is how many recipes each has in the WoW Forever client and how many are new.
Every profession in the client

- Blacksmithing (primary): 506 recipes, 197 new in Forever · leveling guide
- Enchanting (primary): 261 recipes, 63 new in Forever · leveling guide

Pairs that work together
- Herbalism with Alchemy, Mining with Blacksmithing or Engineering, Skinning with Leatherworking: the gathering profession supplies the crafting one.
- Two gathering professions are the usual way to make gold while leveling: sell what you gather on the Auction House (making money).
- Tailoring needs cloth from mobs rather than a gathering profession, so it pairs with anything, and Enchanting goes well with it.
Speculation: These pairings are general WoW advice from Classic, not something Blizzard has said about Forever.
Camping
Forever adds camps, and every profession has a camp feature at skill 20, 140 and 300 in the client. See camping.
