High Order Skyborne: a guide for new players
Updated · ForeverDB
New to WoW Forever as a High Order Skyborne? Your racials from the game client and what they're good for, which classes you can play and why, your languages, professions, and where you start.
Written for the WoW Forever beta, for your first 10 levels. Where each person stands comes from what players recorded in WoW Forever wherever we have it. Anything else is marked: "Classic data" means the spot comes from the original game and may have moved in Forever.
In short
The Skyborne are a new people in WoW Forever, from Zephras Isle. The High Order are the ones who join the Alliance. Their racials are about the wind and the island's leylines: a little extra speed and haste, and a gentle glide down from heights.
- Faction: Alliance.
- You start in: Thendal Village, in Zephras Isle.
- Home city: the Skyborne have no capital city of their own yet in our data. Zephras Isle is their home.
- Classes: Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Warrior.
- Languages: Common and Darnassian (from the game client).
Racials
Racials are abilities and bonuses that only your race has. You have them from level 1. Here they are with the words the WoW Forever game client uses, and what they're good for.
| Racial | What it does | Good for | Compared with Classic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elemental Insight | Damage dealt versus Elementals increased by 5%. | More damage to elementals, which are common on Zephras Isle. | New in Forever |
| Read Leyline | Increases your Health and Mana regeneration by 50% for 15 sec (not while Innervate is on you). Used at a ley line, it also makes you Attuned for 1 hour: while Attuned, Read Leyline gives 100%. Attuned lasts through death. | Rest faster: your health and mana come back twice as fast. Near one of the island's leylines it lasts much longer. | New in Forever |
| Skysight | Increases your movement speed by 15% for 15 sec. Used at an elemental convergence, it also makes you Charged for 1 hour: while Charged, Skysight gives 30%. Charged lasts through death. | A little more speed, on foot and mounted. Near a convergence of elements it lasts much longer. | New in Forever |
| Walk on Air | Glide downward through the air for 10 sec while controlling your direction of travel. | Glide gently down instead of falling. Jump off a cliff without getting hurt. | New in Forever |
| Wind Blessed | Increases your spellcasting, melee, and ranged Haste by 2%. | A little haste for everything: faster attacks and faster spells. | New in Forever |
