November 5 hotfixes: Plainsrunning nerfed in battlegrounds, Druid trainer and trade bag vendors fixed

The Zephras Isle map from the WoW Forever client

· ForeverDB

The first round of WoW: Forever hotfixes since launch stops the Tauren racial Plainsrunning from helping flag carriers and from stacking in a battleground's prep phase, fixes a Druid trainer and the trade supply vendors on Zephras Isle, and speeds up two quest spawns.

The first hotfixes since launch

WoW: Forever went live on November 4. The next day Kaivax posted the first set of hotfixes, a short list grouped by area. These are server-side fixes, so you don't need to download anything for them to take effect.

Plainsrunning reined in for battlegrounds

Plainsrunning is the Tauren racial Plainsrunning. In Forever it gives 2% movement speed for every 5 seconds you spend moving, up to 60%, and it drops off when you take damage or stand still. Two of the hotfixes target it in battlegrounds.

Fixed an issue where Plainsrunning could be stacked in a battleground’s preparation phase. Kaivax, Community Manager
Plainsrunning can no longer stack and stacks will be cancelled when carrying a flag in a battleground. Kaivax, Community Manager

The first fix stops Tauren from building the buff up while the gates are still closed, so they can't start a match already at speed. The second means a Tauren who picks up a flag, as in Warsong Gulch, loses the Plainsrunning stacks and can't build them while carrying it.

Druid trainer and vendors on Zephras Isle

Zephras Isle is the level 1 to 12 Skyborne starting zone. Two fixes land there. A Druid trainer wasn't actually training Druids, and the trade supply vendors were missing their bags.

Zephras - Lotheluum Starbreeze now offers training to Druids as expected. Kaivax, Community Manager
Fixed an issue where trade supply vendors on Zephras Isle didn’t sell apprentice tradeskill bags. Kaivax, Community Manager

Wowhead, which spotted the hotfixes, described Lotheluum Starbreeze as the zone's third Druid trainer.

Blizzard doesn't name the bags, but the trade supply vendors elsewhere sell Apprentice's Herb Pouch, Apprentice's Skinning Satchel and Apprentice's Mining Pack, four-slot gathering bags at 25 copper each. On Zephras Isle the trade supply vendors are Belandiel Farflight and Iallion Featherfall. Our vendor lists will show the bags there once a player with the addon opens those vendors.

Faster quest spawns

Two NPCs that quests depend on now respawn sooner.

Deathstalker Erland respawns much more quickly for the quest “Escorting Erland”. Kaivax, Community Manager
Durotar - Fixed an issue where Yarrog Baneshadow was respawning more slowly than intended. Kaivax, Community Manager

Yarrog Baneshadow is the Orc quest target who drops the Burning Blade Medallion in Durotar.

The rest of the list

  • Dustwallow Marsh: some murlocs were respawning too quickly, and that's fixed.
  • Swamp of Sorrows: Pelluk would sometimes not spawn, and that's fixed.
  • Mild Spices now sell to vendors for 1 copper each (was 2 copper).
  • Incorrect text in “The Sisterhood of Elune” has been fixed.

These are server-side hotfixes applied on November 5, not a client patch.
