The addons worth installing for WoW Forever, sorted by the job they do. Every one has a WoW Forever download on CurseForge. Each card says what the addon does, when its Forever file was last updated, whether it's free, and where our own ForeverDB addon already does the same job.
- We checked each addon's CurseForge page and its latest WoW Forever file on 11 October 2026. Download counts are CurseForge's totals for every version of the game, not only Forever.
- All of them are free except RestedXP's full leveling guide. ForeverDB has no deal with any addon maker on this page and earns nothing from these links.
- Using ForeverDB next to Questie, TomTom, Leatrix Plus, Leatrix Maps or DungeonJournal? ForeverDB notices the jobs that two addons do and asks which one should do each. It never switches another addon off.
No. 1: ForeverDB
The free addon from ForeverDB.net: the site's data in the game. A quest helper with map routes, dungeon run plans with boss tactics and loot, a wishlist and goals, gear upgrade tips, a rotation helper, pet and supplies reminders, world PvP alerts and a battleground panel, all in one download. It works on top of ElvUI, EllesmereUI, Bartender4, Dominos or Blizzard's own interface, and needs no account.

A leveling guide that runs inside the game. It gives you the next step of a fast route, points the way with an arrow, numbers the stops on your map and can accept and hand in quests for you. It knows your class, race, faction and the quests you've already done.

The addon and its Forever routes up to about level 20 are free; the full guide to the level cap is sold on RestedXP's website. GuideMMO's video promotes the paid guide with his own link, which gives you a discount and supports him (an affiliate link).
ForeverDB does part of this: ForeverDB's quest helper shows where each quest starts, where its objectives are and where to hand it in, with an arrow and a guide beside the quest log. It suggests the best zones for your level and can accept and hand in quests when you talk to the NPC. It doesn't lead you along a set route in order the way RestedXP does. See it on ForeverDB

QuestTrail

A quest helper made for Forever that ships with no quest database: it learns where quests start, where their objectives are and where they end as people play, and shares that between its players in game. It plans the order of your quests by XP per second, counting the walk, flight paths, boats and your hearthstone, and draws a line along ground other players really walked. You choose whether it uses everyone's finds, only your guild's, or only your own (no spoilers).

Forever Fishing

ElvUI, the other big interface suite, supports Forever only in its development version on GitHub so far (since 16 September 2026). Its Tukui download, version 15.26 of 29 August 2026, doesn't list Forever yet.

This page started from GuideMMO's addon video of 7 October 2026, which shows 13 of the addons here. We added widely used addons that also have a Forever download, and left out any we couldn't confirm for Forever. 10 Amazing Addons You NEED in WoW Forever (GuideMMO, 7 Oct 2026). Checked on 11 Oct 2026.
We haven't tested every addon here in the game. Download addons only from CurseForge, Wago, GitHub or the author's own site, and never run a program an addon asks you to install.
