Best professions for Priests
Best professions for Priests: Tailoring + Enchanting.
- Tailoring makes 5 items that are on ForeverDB's best-in-slot lists for Priests at level 30: Black Slippers (Feet), Gilded Slippers (Feet), Filigreed Shadow Circlet (Head), Pristine Leggings (Legs). 5 of them bind when picked up, so you have to make them yourself. 31 more are the best on the way to level 30. Best in slot
- No gathering profession supplies much of Tailoring (at most 12% of its recipes), so the second pick is the next best crafter for Priests: Enchanting.
- Enchanting makes 2 items that are on ForeverDB's best-in-slot lists for Priests on the way to level 30, such as Orb of Souls (Off hand), Lesser Magic Wand (Ranged). Best in slot
- Camp feature, new in Forever: from skill 20, Tailoring can place a Faction Banner at a campfire. Unrolls a banner that allows you and other members of your faction sitting nearby to gain 14 (below level 40), 19 (levels 40–49), 27 (levels 50–59) or 32 (level 60+) increased Spirit, mutually exclusive with Divine Spirit. Good to know
- At the level 30 cap you can train up to Expert (skill 225); Artisan needs level 35, so recipes above skill 225 aren't counted.
- Speculation For PvP: Engineering makes 27 bombs, explosives and gadgets by skill 225, such as Mithril Frag Bomb, SAF-T Bomb, Goblin Sapper Charge. Our view: worth it for PvP whatever your class, even though it makes little gear.
- Speculation Leveling and short of gold? Two gathering professions sell from the first day; swap one for your crafter later. Our view.
Speculation How we pick: each crafting profession gets 3 points for every item on ForeverDB's best-in-slot lists for the class at level 30 that binds when picked up, 2 for one you could buy, 1 for every 4 items that are the best on the way (at most 3), 1 for each of the best enchants, armor kits or weapon stones it makes (at most 4) and 1 for every 4 consumables that suit the class (at most 3). The best crafter comes first, with the gatherer that supplies at least 25% of its recipes, or else the next best crafter. The points and which consumables suit a role are ForeverDB's judgement, and the best-in-slot lists are ForeverDB's own ranking. The items, recipes, skills, bind types, camp features and racials are the WoW Forever beta client's.
