Reply in: World of Warcraft: Forever Class Deep Dives — Mage and Shaman
Nethaera replied in a forum thread about World of Warcraft: Forever Class Deep Dives — Mage and Shaman. This is one reply, not Blizzard's announcement. Blizzard's post in this thread. Our write-up: Mage and Shaman deep dive: Frostfire Bolt, easier totems, and Elemental Mastery removed.

We’ve updated the section for Elemental Combat for Shaman to account for the missing Elemental Mastery talent removal note. Our apologies for missing that one.
Removed talents: Elemental Mastery. While this talent was a signature mainstay of Elemental Shaman, especially in PvP, it was also a problematic talent that was holding the class back. We could not increase Elemental Shaman damage to appropriate values in PvE and keep this talent. It would have made them much too strong in PvP. The best solution was to remove this talent and give Elemental Shaman new spells and capabilities.
