Players report Brother Danil's thrown weapons dropping from 42c to 15c
· ForeverDB
Players' ForeverDB addons saw the vendor Brother Danil selling the Small Throwing Knife and the Crude Throwing Axe for 15 copper, down from the 42 copper in the Forever client. Blizzard hasn't announced it.
Player reports, not confirmed by Blizzard. These are prices players' ForeverDB addons saw in the game, not a Blizzard post and not the client's own data.
Players' ForeverDB addons show the vendor Brother Danil (NPC 152) selling two starter thrown weapons (vendor lists aren't in the client): the Small Throwing Knife and the Crude Throwing Axe. Both are level 1 thrown weapons at item level 3. In the client the buy price for each is 42 copper.
What players' addons saw
Between 8 and 9 October, players' ForeverDB addons reported Brother Danil selling both weapons for 15 copper instead of the 42 copper in the client. The same two prices showed up across 18 uploads from 3 players (2 of them signed in to an account), so our admins treated it as a hotfix and updated the vendor's page.
- Small Throwing Knife: 42c in the client, 15c in game (seen by 3 players, 18 uploads).
- Crude Throwing Axe: 42c in the client, 15c in game (seen by 3 players, 18 uploads).
You can see Brother Danil's full list and prices on his vendor page. Players saw the same drop, from 42c to 15c on both weapons, at Joshua Kien in Tirisfal Glades: see Joshua Kien's starter throwing weapons are cheaper.
What it means
Thrown weapons are the ranged slot for a brand new melee character. A drop from 42c to 15c is small in copper, but it is money a level 1 doesn't have much of, so it makes the first thrown weapon easier to buy.
Speculation. Blizzard hasn't said why the price would change. The most likely reason is simply making cheap starter thrown weapons cheaper still for new characters; we can't confirm that.
We'll match this to a Blizzard post or a new build if one lands. Until then it stays a player report.
