Holy Strike is a Paladin melee strike learned at level 6 from Paladin trainers. Per Blizzard, it deals instant Holy damage based on 50% of your equipped weapon damage, plus a bonus that grows with each new rank.

It has eight ranks, trained from level 6 up to 60; Rank 3, Holy Strike, is one of the middle ranks. It is instant with a short cooldown, so it is your main damage and threat ability while levelling.
For Protection, the Iron Creed talent raises the threat it generates and, with Righteous Fury active, grants a short burst of reduced damage taken, making it central to Paladin tanking.
