Druid Cat Form quest fixed: the relics can be looted again

For about a day, Druids on the Forever beta couldn't finish the level 20 Cat Form quest because a relic in the Stormrage Barrow Dens gave a “no loot” error, and hundreds queued at it. Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield says a fix went out on September 28, and players confirm it works.

In WoW Forever, Druids don't buy Cat Form from the trainer. They earn it at level 20 with a quest, “The Great Cat Spirit”, which sends them to collect three relics in the Stormrage Barrow Dens. Over the weekend one of those relics broke: when more than one player clicked it at the same time, everyone got a “no loot” error. Druids queued in the cave for hours, and players reported that some were clicking the relic nonstop to stop others from getting it (forum thread, another).

Fixed on September 28

Senior game designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield replied on X to a player who said the quest had been bugged for 24 hours:

We sent a fix out for this about an hour ago or so, and it should be resolved now. Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield, Blizzard senior game designer, on X

Players in the forum thread confirmed from about 20:00 UTC on September 28 that they could loot the relic. One tip from them: keep clicking until the loot cast starts. It was a server-side fix, so you don't need to update your client. Wowhead reported it too.

Still unconfirmed

Player report, not confirmed by Blizzard.

A player said on X that if you abandon the quest while collecting the relics, you can't pick it up again and are left without Cat Form. Blizzard hasn't commented on that, and we don't know whether the September 28 fix covers it. Until we know more, don't abandon the quest.
