A year of WoW comes with bonus cosmetics for Forever, but Blizzard hasn't named the Forever items

Blizzard's 6-month and 12-month subscription offer includes bonus in-game cosmetics, and several are for use in WoW: Forever once it launches on November 4. The post describes the Forever items but does not name them; the three mounts it does name are for modern WoW and Mists of Pandaria Classic, not Forever.

On October 15 Blizzard posted a subscription offer that includes bonus cosmetics, with some for WoW: Forever. The headline:

Claim a 12-Month Subscription or 365-Days Game Time and get bonus in-game cosmetic items, including several for use in World of Warcraft: Forever! Blizzard Entertainment, official announcement

The same offer runs at two lengths:

When you purchase a 6-Month or 12-Month Special Subscription Offer, you'll receive special bonuses, including several for use in World of Warcraft: Forever, once it launches in November! Blizzard Entertainment, official announcement

A 12-month subscription also grants access to modern WoW (currently Midnight) and WoW Classic progression (currently Mists of Pandaria Classic), not just Forever.

The mounts the post names are not the Forever items

The post names three mounts. Its own footnotes say each one works in only one game, and none of the three is for Forever:

  • Ashen Dreadglider Skyriding mount and the Giant Grrloc ground mount. The footnote: “Only available in modern World of Warcraft (currently Midnight™)”.
  • Cerulean Drake flying mount. The footnote: “Only available in WoW Classic progression (currently Mists of Pandaria Classic™)”.

So the three mounts you can see pictured are for modern WoW and Mists of Pandaria Classic. The Forever rewards are separate, and the post marks them with its own footnote: “Only available in World of Warcraft: Forever”.

What the Forever bonuses are

Here the post stops short. It describes the Forever items but does not give their names or show them. The Forever section reads in full:

Quest your way through an untamed and breathtaking Azeroth, rich with expanded, reimagined, and new zones to explore, but don’t forget to sport the trappings of exploration and bring a trusty companion along as you uncover dormant mysteries. Blizzard Entertainment, official announcement

After that the post has a line that just reads “Subscription includes:” with no list under it. So the exact Forever items are not named yet.

Speculation. “The trappings of exploration” sounds like a cosmetic set or tabard, and “a trusty companion” sounds like a pet, but Blizzard's post does not name either, so we can't say what they are or link them in our item data. We'll add the names once Blizzard lists them or they turn up in the client files.

Some sites are already listing names for these Forever items. We can't find those names in any Blizzard post, so we're leaving them out until there's a source we can check.

Dates and how to claim

The post ties the subscription to Forever's launch date:

Your WoW subscription or game time grants you access to WoW: Forever starting November 4. Blizzard Entertainment, official announcement

On the bonuses, the post says: “Bonuses arrive by October 31, 2026, and must be redeemed by April 30, 2027.” The 12-month offer also folds in upcoming Lunar New Year 6-month subscription bonuses, which Blizzard says “will be revealed and delivered on or before January 31, 2027.” Players already subscribed for 12 months are told to keep auto-renewal active with a future renewal date to get both the 12-month and 6-month refreshes at no extra charge through the Battle.net desktop app.

These are the terms of a store offer, which Blizzard can change. Check the Shop and the Compare Products section for the live details before you buy.
