Secret finders are hunting hidden objects based on the old Warcraft manuals in the Forever beta

Wowhead and the WoW Secret Finding Discord report that players have found hidden objects in the Forever beta that seem to be based on the old printed Warcraft manuals, and they want help spotting more. Blizzard has not said anything about it, and the game files can't confirm what the hunt involves.

On 15 October Wowhead reported that the WoW Secret Finding community has turned its attention to the Forever beta. It credits Miko from the WoW Secret Finding Discord for the information.
In Wowhead's words, Players have found several hidden objects that appear to be based on the old physical game manuals - but now they need help to report any additional sightings. Wowhead says the group also shared scans from the old Warcraft manuals to go with the hunt.
Who is doing the hunting
The WoW Secret Finding Discord is the largest community dedicated to solving hidden puzzles and collectibles in World of Warcraft. Its members are the players behind well known secrets, such as the motorcycle mount hidden under an old raid and the orb puzzle that fed it. Those details are the community's own, reported through Wowhead, not anything Blizzard has stated.
What the game files show
The Forever beta client files do contain a run of new readable objects that are not in Classic Era, for example Torn Page Torn Page, Burnt Page Burnt Page, Ancient Runestone Ancient Runestone and Parchment of Chaos Parchment of Chaos. They are plain white items with no stats, the kind used for notes and scavenger hunts.
Speculation. We can't confirm from the files that these particular items are the objects the secret finders mean, or that any of them are tied to the old manuals. The reason: Wowhead's article names its finds in text and images we couldn't read in full, and the files don't say what a hunt links together. Treat the connection as unproven until the community publishes a guide or Blizzard comments.
