Players' addons report a Goldshire quest reward jumped from one to five

· ForeverDB

Players running ForeverDB's addon report that quest 2158's two reward choices now hand over five of each item instead of one: five Refreshing Spring Water or five Small Pumpkin. Blizzard hasn't announced it, and we can't confirm it in the client data we track.

Player reports, not confirmed by Blizzard.

Players running the ForeverDB addon have sent us a change to a quest reward on the beta. For quest 2158, players' addons first saw the two reward choices give one item each on the beta; they now see five of each. Blizzard hasn't posted anything about it, and this quest's rewards are not in the client data we track, so we can't check it in the game files either way.

What players' addons saw

Both choices are low-level consumables. Refreshing Spring Water restores mana while you sit, and Small Pumpkin restores health. So this is a quest that hands you a stack of early food or water, and the stack players report getting is now five times larger.

Speculation. The most likely reason is simply to make a small early reward more useful: a single piece of food or water barely lasts, while a stack of five carries a new character further. Blizzard hasn't given a reason, so this is our guess.

Which quest this is

In Classic Era, quest 2158 is "Rest and Relaxation", a short quest you pick up at the Lion's Pride Inn in Goldshire, Elwynn Forest. We're naming it from Classic Era only as a pointer to where the quest sits; we can't confirm its name or wording on Forever from the client data we have.

We'll update this page if a Blizzard post or a new build confirms the change. The full list of changes players' addons have reported is on each item's and quest's page, such as quest 2158.
