Druid in WoW: Forever: what the datamine says is coming
· ForeverDB
What the Forever beta client and official posts reveal for Druids: 5 new abilities, 2 reworked talent slots, 120 new class items.
Speculation. This outlook is built from datamined Forever beta client data (build 1.60.1.70009) and official Blizzard posts. The beta is capped at level 20; anything above that isn't playable yet and can change.
What Blizzard changed this week
From the official WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated September 24 (Kaivax, 2026-09-24):
- Corrected an issue and now Rejuvenation can land critical hits.
- Corrected an issue and now Tranquility can land critical hits.
- Wrath base damage increased ~50%.
- Thorns will now dynamically update its values based on the caster’s spell power.
- If the caster cannot be found or is too far away, Thorns reverts to its base values.
Feral
- Mangle has been renamed Primal Bite. Its signature debuff has been removed, so the former name no longer accurately represented the ability.
- All talents referencing Mangle now reference Primal Bite.
- The Primal Fury talent has been renamed and the icon replaced with the original Blood Frenzy name and icon.
- Fixed a bug where Feral Charge (Cat) could be cast on allies.
Restoration
- Corrected an issue and now Wild Growth can land critical hits.
New abilities in the client
5 Druid abilities exist in the Forever client but not in Classic Era:
- Revive — level 12 — available in the beta now. Brings a dead player back to life with 750 health and 1000 mana.
- Feral Charge — level 20 — available in the beta now. Requires Bear Form, Dire Bear Form Charge an enemy, immobilizing them and interrupting any spell they are casting for 4 sec.
- Primal Bite — learned outside the trainer. Bite the target for 100% normal damage plus 77.
- Wild Growth — level 40 — above the current cap (a former Season of Discovery rune, now a class ability). Heals the target and their party for 679 over 7 sec.
- Lacerate — level 42 — above the current cap (a former Season of Discovery rune, now a class ability). Lacerates the enemy target, making them bleed for 75 damage over 15 sec plus 10% weapon damage per existing application of Lacerate on the target.
What the level 30 cap should unlock
- Talent points go from 11 to 21, which opens talent tier 5 of a tree (up from tier 3).
- New abilities between level 21 and 30: Shred (22), Soothe Animal (22), Rake (24), Remove Curse (24), Abolish Poison (26), Abolish Poison Effect (26), Dash (26), Challenging Roar (28), Cower (28), Tranquility (30), Travel Form (30).
- 22 higher ranks of existing abilities also become trainable in that range.
- Talents that come into reach include Moonglow, Improved Starfire, Nature's Grace, Vengeance, Blood Frenzy, Shredding Attacks, Predatory Strikes, Savage Fury, Gift of Nature, Improved Rejuvenation, Nature's Swiftness, Improved Tranquility.
Talent trees
- 2 talent slots (Feral Combat tier 4, Feral Combat tier 5) point to spells that have no record in the client. The talent is still in the tree, but its name and effect are defined server-side, which usually means it was reworked.
Tuning signals in the spell data

- Healing Touch Rank 2: 0.314 → 0.571
- Wrath Rank 2: 0.231 → 0.486

Our read (speculation)
For Feral Druids, the level 30 cap is when the unknowns get revealed. Both server-side talent slots are in Feral Combat: tier 4 (level 25) and a one-point slot in tier 5 (level 30), where other trees keep their 21-point talents. The notes rename Mangle to Primal Bite and restore the Blood Frenzy name, and the client already reflects both: Primal Bite is learned outside the trainer from level 25, and Blood Frenzy sits in Feral tier 4. Feral Charge is a level 20 trainer ability, and Shred, Rake, Dash, Cower and Travel Form arrive between 22 and 30.
Balance and Restoration changes lean toward leveling comfort. Wrath's base damage rose about 50% this week, Thorns now scales with spell power, and Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Wild Growth can now crit. The 18 coefficient changes lift early Wrath and Healing Touch ranks the most, which helps both leveling and downranking. Revive at 12 gives Druids an out-of-combat resurrection early on, and Talons of Wrath, a level 40 idol that can refund mana on Wrath casts, suggests Blizzard sees Wrath as a real leveling spell.
Druids have the most class gear of any class in the client: 120 items, with three PvP set lines (Sanctuary, Refuge and Wildhide) and idols from level 1 upward, which fits a hybrid expected to cover several roles. Blizzard also says Skyborne get Druid forms made just for them. One caution: the Deep Dive recap lists Improved Mark of the Wild among talents made baseline, yet the client still shows it as a Restoration tier 1 talent, so the trees served in game may not match the client files.
