720 Zone's comparison of all 54 Forever maps with Classic

· ForeverDB
720 Zone flipped between every Classic Era map and its WoW Forever version, 54 in all, from whole new zones down to a single flight-path marker. The new zones, areas and dungeons they point to, such as Riverglades, New Avalon and Karazhan Crypts, are in our data. We have Forever's drawn maps but not Classic's to set beside them, so the smaller marker changes stay the creator's own reading.
This is a community video by 720 Zone, not Blizzard, so everything in it is the creator's own finding. We checked each claim against the Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70532) and the site's map, area and dungeon data, and the only numbers here come from the client or the video.
The video flips between each Classic Era map and its Forever version: 40 standard zone maps, four brand-new Forever zones, six capital cities and four PvP maps, 54 in all. The table checks every place it names.

The short version
- The big additions the video shows line up with zones and areas the client already has: Riverglades is a new Forever zone, New Avalon is an area in Eastern Plaguelands, Whispering Forest is an area in Tirisfal Glades, and Summit of Eternity sits atop the rebuilt Mount Hyjal.
- The dungeons the maps hint at are in our data too: Karazhan Crypts in Deadwind Pass and Excavation Site: Wetlands.
- Many changes are tiny: removed flight-path markers (Thorium Point, Talrendis Point, Chillwind Camp), removed PvP cave entrances, and new cave and path markers. We have no Classic maps to compare against, so these stay the creator's reading.
- A possible Karazhan raid is the creator's guess. Two other hints are real: the client has the Manor Mistmantle dungeon in Duskwood, and Blizzard announced the Barrow Deeps raid on 20 October.

New zones and areas in the client
Riverglades is a brand-new Forever zone in our data, and the client has its new towns too: Farholde Keep, an area with an Alliance flight point, and an area named Bolder'ok, which is likely the creator's "Boulder Rock". The rebuilt Mount Hyjal has an area named Summit of Eternity, which the creator shows as a new raid at the top. Eastern Plaguelands gains an area named New Avalon and Tirisfal Glades one named Whispering Forest, both where the video points. Skywatcher Plateau in Mulgore, Dalaran (as the new City of Dalaran dungeon), Stormwind Harbor and the Shen'dralas, Zephras Isle and Darkspear Islands maps are all in the client as well.
Dungeons the maps point to
Two dungeons the creator flags are in the client. Karazhan Crypts is a five-player dungeon tied to Deadwind Pass, which also has its own dungeon entry, and Excavation Site: Wetlands is a five-player dungeon in the spot the video marks in Wetlands.
A level 60 Karazhan raid and a raid to follow the Shaper's Terrace are the creator's guesses from the maps, and nothing in our client data confirms either. The other future content the video points to is real: the client has the Manor Mistmantle dungeon in Duskwood and an area named The Shaper's Terrace, and Blizzard has announced the Shaper's Terrace dungeon (levels 58 to 60) and the 10-player Barrow Deeps raid.
The small marker changes
Most of the video is small stuff: a removed flight-path marker at Thorium Point in Searing Gorge, at Talrendis Point in Azshara and at Chillwind Camp in Western Plaguelands; removed PvP cave entrances in The Barrens and Arathi Basin; a removed Revantusk Village indicator in The Hinterlands; and an added pond marker in Ashenvale. The areas the creator names, such as Thorium Point, the Ruins of Stardust and Icewing Cavern in Alterac Valley, do exist in the client. We have no Classic Era maps to set beside Forever's, so whether a marker was added or removed rests on the creator's own reading.
What nobody can test yet
The creator calls Shen'dralas a level 38 to 40 zone, which would put it above the beta's level 30 cap (the client has no zone levels). The Mount Hyjal, Karazhan, Barrow Deeps and Un'Goro content the video points to is future or unreleased, so it can't be reached in the beta either.
