Profession bonuses on Forever beta gear: Smelting Pants, Cookie's Stirring Rod and a stun-proc hammer

· ForeverDB
The WoW Forever beta client has gear that helps with professions. Smelting Pants speeds up smelting by 25%, Cookie's Stirring Rod speeds up cooking by 25%, and a new level 49 thrown weapon doubles as a blacksmith hammer. Every number here is from the beta client.
The WoW Forever beta client has a few gear pieces that help with professions. Two are low-level items that speed up crafting, and a third is a new throwing weapon that also works as a blacksmith hammer. Everything below is from the beta client's own files. Wowhead flagged the items first; the bonuses themselves are in the data.
These are beta items. Anything here can still change before launch.
Smelting Pants: faster smelting for new miners
Smelting Pants is a piece of leather leg armour. In the beta client it is rare quality, needs level 16, and gives 76 armour with 7 Stamina and 5 Spirit. Its equip line reads: Reduces the crafting time of Smelt Copper, Smelt Tin, Smelt Bronze, and Smelt Silver by 25%. That makes smelting ore quicker while you are levelling Mining.
In Classic Era the same item is uncommon quality and has no crafting bonus. In the Forever client it is a tier higher and carries the faster-smelting effect, so the bonus is new to Forever.
Cookie's Stirring Rod: a wand that speeds up cooking
Cookie's Stirring Rod is a wand. In the beta client it is rare quality, needs level 17, and does 20 to 38 damage on a 1.3 second speed. Its equip line reads: Increases your Cooking speed by 25%. Any class that uses wands can equip it (Priest, Mage or Warlock), and the cooking bonus helps a cook of any level, not only a low-level one, as long as you keep the wand on.
In Classic Era this wand has no equip effect. The cooking bonus is new to Forever.
Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer: a throwing weapon that is also your hammer
Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer is a new item in Forever: a thrown weapon that needs level 49. It is rare quality, does 49 to 92 damage on a 2.2 second speed, and carries a little Strength and Spirit. It has a chance on hit to Stun the target for 1 sec. Its tooltip also says it Serves as a Blacksmith Hammer, so a Blacksmith does not need to carry a separate blacksmith hammer in a bag slot.
What Wowhead reported
Wowhead reported on 4 October that players had noticed these pieces, calling them "crafting gear bonuses" and saying Smelting Pants and Cookie's Stirring Rod come from the Deadmines. The bonuses are confirmed in the client, as above. The Deadmines drop is Wowhead's report: in Classic Era both items do drop in the Deadmines, but the client files we read do not list a drop source, so we cannot confirm it for Forever from the data here.
Player and site reports, not a Blizzard change or statement. The 'crafting gear bonus' framing is Wowhead's description, not a Blizzard term. The item bonuses are confirmed in the beta client; where the items drop is a report.
