ForeverDB Helper

A small, free Windows app from ForeverDB.net that works alongside the ForeverDB.net Companion addon. Addons can't use the internet, so the helper does it for them.

What it does

• Keeps the addon up to date: installs new versions of the ForeverDB.net Companion into your AddOns folder.
• Keeps its data fresh: vendors, trainers, recipes, camp features, consumables, new quests and talent trees, fetched whenever ForeverDB learns more.
• Shares what you recorded: after you play, uploads the quests, drops, vendors, trainers, beasts, gathering spots and talent builds the addon saved to your ForeverDB account.
• Tells the addon: the ForeverDB window in game shows that the helper is linked and how fresh your data is.

What it reads and sends

• It reads one file: the addon's own saved file in WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables.
• It sends only what the upload page takes. Characters are sent as a scrambled code, never their names; notes, cards, plans and settings stay on your PC.
• It never touches the running game: no memory reading, no key presses.
• It only downloads from foreverdb.net and checks every file's SHA-256 checksum before installing it.
• Linking gives it its own key that can only upload addon data; remove it from your profile at any time.

Set it up

Download ForeverDB-Helper.exe and run it; it finds your WoW Forever folder and can install the addon. Press Link my ForeverDB account, log in with Battle.net on foreverdb.net/helper/link and press Link. Leave it in the system tray and play.
