ForeverDB Discord bot

The WoW Forever database in your Discord server. Look up items, spells, quests, NPCs, dungeons, bosses, mounts and talents with cards that look like the game's tooltips, ask questions in your own words, show armory characters, and get ForeverDB's news in a channel. Every answer comes from ForeverDB's own data, labelled the way the site labels it: Forever client, Seen in Forever, Classic data or Speculation. It's free.

Add ForeverDB to your Discord server (you need the Manage Server permission there).

Step-by-step setup guide: adding the bot, news, the group finder, your guild calendar and fixes.

What the bot replies

These are real replies, made by the bot's own code with today's data. Pick one, or try your own.

Commands

Ask ForeverDB

Keep commands to one channel

/botchannel add keeps ForeverDB's commands to the channels you pick (up to five): anyone running one elsewhere gets a private reply pointing there. Members with the Manage Server permission can still use them anywhere, and buttons on the bot's own posts keep working. /botchannel list, remove and clear change it again.

Group finder

/lfg post puts a post on the group finder (LFG or LFM, for a dungeon, raid, quest or PvP), /lfg list shows open posts with who to whisper, and /lfg subscribe shows new posts in a channel.

Live on your realm

/live now shows what is happening on a realm right now, only to you: rares killed or seen, dungeons people want groups for, and restarts and outages, with a link to its Live page. /live subscribe posts alerts for one realm in a channel (Manage Server): rares killed or seen, realm restarts and outages, and dungeon demand when three or more group finder posts are open for one dungeon, at most 6 posts an hour, each alert once; /live unsubscribe stops them. Everything comes from the same data as the Live page, never earlier than the site shows it, and it never posts player names or busy and quiet zones.

Guild events with sign-up buttons

Link your guild's guild tools calendar to a channel with /guild link (a code from guild tools): each new event is posted with the sign-ups by role and Accept, Tentative, Late, Bench and Absent buttons, kept up to date as people sign up, with reminders from the bot. Members link their Discord account once with /link, and /event list shows the next events, with a gear check summary for officers.

A raid calendar that syncs both ways

Officers plan raids without leaving Discord: /event create opens a form for the title, the time in realm time (Fri 20:00 or 2026-10-16 20:00), how long, the group size and the tank, healer and DPS limits, and the event goes on the guild's ForeverDB calendar with its sign-up card in the channel. /event edit and /event cancel tell the members who already saw it. /calendar shows each member the next two weeks with their own sign-ups. Optionally, a live calendar card keeps the next 14 days pinned in the channel, and the guild's events are mirrored into the server's own Events tab: events made, changed or deleted there come back to the site within about five minutes. Every time is shown in realm time, with a Discord timestamp in each member's own time.

Raid night: /raid

When officers plan a raid in guild tools (Plan this raid on the event), /raid brings the plan to Discord: /raid comp posts the groups as a picture with the buff, aura and debuff gaps, /raid gear shows who isn't ready and why (officers see everyone red or amber, members their own line), /raid assign gives the boss assignments and notes as a Method Raid Tools note, /raid me your own group, role and jobs, /raid code the raid code for the ForeverDB addon, and /raid ready posts a roll-call card with Ready, Not ready and Late buttons. Character names only show in the guild's own linked server, never a BattleTag.

Every guild also has a public page on ForeverDB, with its raid schedule, progress, recruiting and a button to its Discord. Make your guild's page.

News in a channel

/news subscribe posts new ForeverDB articles, Blizzard's official posts from the blue tracker, new finds in the game files and each new game build's patch notes (what changed for each class, with links and the build changelog) to the channel you pick, as they're published. Choose which of the four you want; /news list shows the channels and /news unsubscribe stops them. Only members with the Manage Server permission can change it. /patchnotes posts the newest build's patch notes in the channel you're in, any time.
