  1. Possible beta-event items affecting the database

Possible beta-event items affecting the database

I noticed that items from the beta’s closing event appear in ForeverDB as low-level items or drops. Since the event temporarily put raid gear on low-level mobs, could you check whether those event-specific versions or drop observations are affecting the database, gear recommendations, or source listings?

Your October 28 build article notes that the item-level 30 class-set pieces were removed from the client. Are there plans to remove or label the remaining event-related entries and drop data before launch?

What we changed: The send-off’s loot was pushed into the client’s item data after the event, so it showed up as new items, as drops from starter mobs and in some level 30 gear picks. Those items are now marked as event loot on their pages and taken out of “New in the game files” and the drop sources. Best in slot and the gear lists drop them with the next rebuild, which is before launch.

hammer of the righteous is not a thing in wow Forever, I think this needs to be updated to be holy strike

Why it isn't a mistake: What the game files show: Hammer of the Righteous is in the Forever game client as a Protection ability at level 40. It's on a new Forever entry, next to the new Holy Strike ones, so it isn't simply left over by accident. But it's unconfirmed. It comes above the current level 30 cap, so nobody can train it yet, and no Blizzard post mentions it. It started life as a Season of Discovery rune and may still turn out to be a leftover. Holy Strike is confirmed. Blizzard says every Paladin gets it at level 6.

  3. Righteous Fury is a Paladin trainer ability (level 16)

    Fixed · Classes · Paladin

"It skips Improved Righteous Fury because no trainer teaches Righteous Fury itself in the current client."

You absolutely can train Righteous Fury in the client. You could do I when the cap was level 20: I trained it then. You can do it now when the cap is level 30: I trained it again yesterday. No idea where this comment is coming from. It has never been true since I started the Beta.

What we changed: Our data picked a leftover Season of Discovery copy of the spell and called it untrainable. We now read the trainer's copy: the client teaches Righteous Fury at level 16 (60% more threat from your Holy attacks for 30 min). The Paladin guides, builds and ability write-ups now tell tanks to use it, and the level 30 tank build takes Improved Righteous Fury instead of One-Handed Weapon Specialization. The same fix corrected Tame Beast and Frenzied Regeneration.

ForeverDB team: You were right, thank you! Righteous Fury is trained at level 16 in the WoW Forever client. We fixed the data, the Paladin guides and the tank builds on 5 October 2026.

  4. Tame Beast is learned at level 10 from the Hunter quest

    Fixed · Classes · Hunter

ForeverDB listed Tame Beast wrongly, because of the same leftover-spell mistake as Righteous Fury.

What we changed: The same fix as Righteous Fury: our data now ignores leftover Season of Discovery copies of spells, so Tame Beast shows as learned at level 10 from the Hunter quest.

Found by ForeverDB on 5 Oct 2026; fixed 5 Oct 2026 (the same day).
  5. Frenzied Regeneration is a Druid trainer ability (level 36)

    Fixed · Classes · Druid

ForeverDB listed Frenzied Regeneration wrongly, because of the same leftover-spell mistake as Righteous Fury.

What we changed: The same fix as Righteous Fury: our data now ignores leftover Season of Discovery copies of spells, so Frenzied Regeneration shows as trained at level 36.

Found by ForeverDB on 5 Oct 2026; fixed 5 Oct 2026 (the same day).
