Payo's Hunter PvP video: the 36% Aspect of the Cheetah comes from Pathfinding

· ForeverDB
Payo's video is a run of PvP ganking clips played as a Hunter, with a lot of banter. Between fights they name three abilities and read one number off the screen: Aspect of the Cheetah at "36" speed. The client confirms the base 30% at level 20, and its Beast Mastery talent Pathfinding adds 3% per rank, which makes Payo's 36% with both ranks.
This is a community video by Payo, not a Blizzard announcement. The claims below are the creator's. We checked them against the WoW Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70450), and the numbers come from the client. Beta data can still change before launch.
Payo's video is a reel of PvP ganking played as a Hunter, with a lot of banter and reactions to other players. There are few hard numbers in it: Payo names three abilities and reads one number off the screen, and we checked each against the client. We leave the fights with named players out of this.

The short version
- The captions hear "Aspect of the Cheeto", but Aspect of the Cheetah is in the client under its usual name. It increases movement speed by 30%, is instant, costs 40 mana and is learned from the trainer at level 20, which matches the "30" Payo reads.
- Payo says the speed reads "36" "if you have improved aspect of the cheetah". No talent has that name, but the Beast Mastery talent Pathfinding (tier 2, level 15) adds 3% per rank to Aspect of the Cheetah's 30%, so 2 ranks make it 36%.
- Cheap Shot and Auto Shot are in the client as named, at level 26 and level 1, so both are reachable under the beta's level 30 cap.
Claim by claim
| Ability | Payo says | The client says | Verdict |

| Improved Aspect of the Cheetah | Says the speed is "36" "if you have improved aspect of the cheetah". | No talent has that name, but Pathfinding (Beast Mastery tier 2, level 15) adds 3% per rank to Aspect of the Cheetah's 30%, so 2 ranks give 36%. | Agrees (the talent is Pathfinding) |
| Cheap Shot | Names it as a Rogue opener ("cast target maybe cheap shot"). | Stuns the target for 4 sec. Must be stealthed. Awards 2 combo points. 60 Energy, 5 yd. Learned at level 26. | Agrees |
| Auto Shot | Mentions it as the relaxing part of Hunter ("you auto shot"). | Automatically shoots the target until cancelled. 35 yd. Requires a ranged weapon. Learned at level 1. | Agrees |
The in-game names are from the Forever client; the captions spell some of them differently.
Hunter
Payo spends most of the video on a Hunter, and the one number they call out is movement speed. The client's tooltip for Aspect of the Cheetah reads "increasing movement speed by 30%", which matches the "30" Payo reads before the clip cuts in. If the Hunter takes damage they are dazed for 4 sec.
Payo then says "increasing my speed not by 30, by 36" and adds "not if you have improved aspect of the cheetah". No talent is called Improved Aspect of the Cheetah, in Forever or in Classic Era, but the Beast Mastery talent Pathfinding (tier 2, level 15) increases the speed bonus of Aspect of the Cheetah and Aspect of the Pack by 3% per rank. Both ranks add 6%, and 30% becomes 36%, exactly what Payo reads.
Payo calls Auto Shot the relaxing part of the class. The client has it at level 1, 35 yd range, requiring a bow, gun or crossbow.
Our Hunter page, the Hunter changes list and the Hunter talent calculator cover the class in Forever, and there are simulators for Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival.
Rogue
Payo names Cheap Shot as an opener. The client confirms it: "Stuns the target for 4 sec. Must be stealthed. Awards 2 combo points." It costs 60 Energy, has a 5 yd range, and is learned at level 26, so a Rogue can use it under the beta's level 30 cap.
For Rogues there is the Rogue page, the Rogue changes and the Rogue talent calculator, plus the Assassination, Combat and Subtlety simulators.
