Druid in WoW Forever: what the datamine says is coming

· updated · ForeverDB
The WoW Forever client and Blizzard's posts show 1 new ability and 83 new class items for Druids. We list them all and give our read on the class.
Speculation. This outlook is built from datamined WoW Forever client data (build 1.60.1.70707) and official Blizzard posts. The beta stopped at level 30; the game launches on 4 November with the whole of 1 to 60, and anything above level 30 is untested and can change.
What Blizzard's notes changed
Kaivax posted these Druid changes in WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated October 15 on 16 October 2026:
- Fixed an issue where high ranks of Rejuvenation were preventing other Druids from applying Rejuvenation to the target.
- Omen of Clarity: Fixed a bug where this could be triggered by Faerie Fire while in Cat Form, Bear Form, or Dire Bear Form. Since Faerie Fire costs no resources in those forms, it cannot trigger Omen of Clarity.
- Faerie Fire: Now generates threat while in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form (instead of just initiating combat at 0 threat).
- Fixed an issue allowing multiple Faerie Fire debuffs to be active on a target.
- Shred (Rank 1) is now learned at level 20 (was 22). It was possible to get Shredding Attacks before knowing Shred or Lacerate
- Fixed an issue where Heart of the Wild, Feral Swiftness, Thick Hide, and Leader of the Pack were not applying correctly to characters when they logged in.
Balance
- Multiple instances of Insect Swarm will no longer continue to reduce the target’s hit chance.
- Moonkin Aura now only increases Spell Critical Strike chance, and is Raid wide.
Feral
- Leader of the Pack now only increases Melee and Ranged Critical Strike chance, and is Raid wide.
- The flat damage on Shred’s tooltip will now correctly scale with the % damage increase of the Savage Fury talent.
This was just a visual bug. The damage is unchanged. Kaivax, WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated October 15
- Furor now allows the player to retain the Energy they had when they were last in Cat Form even if they go into Bear or Dire Bear Form.
Bear and Dire Bear Form still prevent Energy regeneration. Kaivax, WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated October 15
New abilities in the client
One Druid ability is in the Forever client but not in Classic Era:
Revive (level 12). Rank 1: Brings a dead player back to life with 70 health and 135 mana. It has 5 ranks, the last at level 60.
What levels 31 to 40 bring
The beta stopped at level 30. WoW Forever launches on 4 November with the whole game to level 60, and this is what the client has for the next ten levels, 31 to 40.
- Talent points go from 21 to 31, which opens talent tier 7 of a tree (up from tier 5).
- Abilities first trained between levels 31 and 40: Ravage (32), Track Humanoids (32), Frenzied Regeneration (36), Pounce (36), Dire Bear Form (40), Feline Grace (40), Hurricane (40), Innervate (40).
- 29 higher ranks of existing abilities also become trainable in that range.
- Talents that come into reach include Rend and Tear, Shifting Power, Moonfury, Improved Regrowth, Moonkin Form, Primal Bite, Wild Growth, Natural Reaction.
Talent trees
Talents that are new in Forever, by tree:
- Balance: Genesis, Nature's Majesty and Nature's Splendor.

Tuning signals in the spell data
In the client, 18 Druid spell ranks have a different spell-power coefficient from Classic Era. The biggest changes:
- Healing Touch Rank 1: 0.123 → 0.429
- Wrath Rank 1: 0.123 → 0.429
- Healing Touch Rank 2: 0.314 → 0.571
- Wrath Rank 2: 0.231 → 0.486

Our read (speculation)
For Feral, the level 30 cap is where Forever's new talent tree opens up. Feral Charge is a tier 3 talent from level 20, and Primal Bite, the renamed Mangle, is a tier 4 talent from 25 that needs Savage Fury at 2/2. Tier 5 at 30 offers Leader of the Pack, the new Predatory Instincts and the new Improved Shifting Power. Blizzard's 1 October notes removed King of the Jungle and Tiger's Fury and added Shifting Power, a tier 4 Cat Form talent that, in Blizzard's words, converts 55% of base Mana into 40 Energy on a 16 second cooldown. The same notes renamed Primal Fury back to Blood Frenzy, and the client has it under that name in Feral tier 4. Berserk, the capstone at 40, lets Primal Bite hit 3 targets with no cooldown. Shred, Rake, Dash, Cower and Travel Form arrive between 22 and 30.
Most of what Balance and Restoration get makes levelling easier. The new tree moves Insect Swarm into Balance and Swiftmend up to Restoration tier 4, and Omen of Clarity is now a passive every Druid learns from the trainer at 20. In the 24 September notes Wrath's base damage rose by about 50%, Thorns started scaling with spell power, and Rejuvenation, Tranquility and Wild Growth gained the ability to crit. Of the 18 coefficient changes, early Wrath and Healing Touch ranks gain the most, which helps while levelling and when downranking. Revive at 12 gives Druids an out-of-combat resurrection early on. Talons of Wrath, a level 40 idol that can refund mana on Wrath casts, suggests Blizzard sees Wrath as a spell you level with.
No class has more gear in the client than the Druid: 120 items, with three PvP set lines (Sanctuary, Refuge and Wildhide) and idols from level 1 upward, which suits a hybrid that covers several roles. Blizzard also says Skyborne get Druid forms made just for them. The Deep Dive recap lists Improved Mark of the Wild among the talents made baseline, and the new tree no longer has it, though its old rank spells are still in the files. Mark of the Wild has the bonus built in instead: every rank gives about 35% more than in Classic Era, the old talent's full effect, so rank 7 is 385 armour instead of 285.
