ForeverDB Helper addon

The Helper is the part of the ForeverDB addon that keeps your dungeons, wishlist, goals, notes and runs. It comes in the same download, as the ForeverDB_Helper folder. Your dungeons, your wishlist, your goals, your notes and your runs, in one window in the game.

The ForeverDB folder in the same zip is the rest of the addon: help while you play, the quest helper, upgrades and the rotation assistant. The two work together, and you can switch either off in the AddOns list.

The window

• Today: your next best run (your wishlist items there, your quests for it, the quests to pick up on the way, your best time), your goals, your wishlist's top three and your last run.
• Journal: a timeline of your character's big decisions and moments (levels, talents, professions, crafts, gear, dungeon clears, deaths and gold), your reasons on any of it, and your next steps. See the journal.
• To-do: plan like Microsoft To Do: lists of tasks with steps to tick, a note, links to YouTube tutorials or guides, important, a due date, repeat every day or week, a column (Now, Next, Later), and My Day, Important and Planned across every list.
• Goals: task lists with a progress bar, a due date and an on-screen tracker. Auto tasks tick themselves: quests, objectives, items in your bags or looted, levels, profession skill, dungeon clears, gold, reputation and wishlist items.
• Dungeons: a level ladder of every dungeon and raid, with a gold line at your level.
• Best gear: your best gear for your class, spec and level, PvE or PvP, next to what you wear, with upgrades highlighted, where each comes from, a wishlist star, "Add all missing upgrades to my wishlist", a goal for your best gear, and a level picker to look ahead. From Best in slot.
• Scrolls: every Forever scroll, what it does, which you've had and where players found it, with an arrow to the nearest spot. See Scrolls.
• A dungeon's page: the run plan (bosses in order, abilities with timings, tips by role, drops with a wishlist star and Top pick for your spec, your note on each boss), the loot table with chances and average runs, the quests with arrows to their givers, and how to get there.
• Wishlist: the items you starred, where they drop and how many runs they take. An alert and a sound when one drops: your loot, the loot window, a roll window, or someone else in your group.
• Notes: notes on a dungeon, a boss or a quest that show where they belong, and that your group can see.
• Runs: every dungeon run recorded by itself: time, bosses with kill times, wipes, what you got and your best time.
• Best gear: your gear against the best in slot for your level, PvE or PvP, with where each item comes from, wishlist stars and a goal to get it all.
• Scrolls: every Forever scroll, what it does, where players found it and which ones you've had.
• Professions: your next profession step (what to make, how many, what it needs with your bag counts, where to learn it), when to train the next rank, crafted gear that's best in slot for you, and the best gathering zones for your skill.

Inside a dungeon

A small run panel: bosses killed with kill times, the run timer, the next boss with your note, a wishlist alert when it can drop an item you want, your pinned goal, and what your group needs and wants.

Privacy

Your wishlist, goals, notes and runs are saved on your PC, for all your characters. With anonymous sharing on, run and kill times, the loot seen and the kinds of goals can be shared to improve ForeverDB's dungeon pages: never names, notes or goal text.

Sending it to ForeverDB

Optional, three ways: the ForeverDB Uploader sends it by itself after you play; or send it from your WoW folder (one click in Edge or Chrome, or drag and drop); or copy the code from the Helper's Send to ForeverDB page and paste it on foreverdb.net/send, with nothing to install. Updates: the Uploader installs new versions by itself; without it, download the latest from this page (the Helper's Settings, About, shows your version).

Credits

Classic data from CMaNGOS classic-db (GPL-3.0) where Forever's own data doesn't reach yet, in its own file and always labelled. The lettering is the Inter typeface (SIL Open Font License).
