Best in slot gear for Affliction Warlock at level 30 (PvE)

The best item for each slot for a level 30 Affliction Warlock in PvE, with the next two picks and how far behind they are, where each comes from, how easy it is, and the best enchant, armor kit or arcanum for it. Change the level (1 to 60) and switch PvE, Leveling or PvP on the page; source filters leave out crafted items, quest rewards, dungeon drops, raid drops, world drops, vendor items or PvP rewards, or keep only items players have seen in Forever.

• Head: Filigreed Shadow Circlet, score 16.4: +14 Shadow Damage Done, +12 Stamina. Crafted: Tailoring 125 (Forever client). Learn it at skill 125. Easy: craft it or buy it from a crafter. Next best: Shadow Circlet (−21% vs best), Holy Shroud (−27% vs best). No enchant for this slot adds these stats until level 45.
• Neck: Scorn's Icy Choker, score 9.8: +7 spell power, +6 Intellect, +5 Stamina. Drops from Scorn, 33% (Classic data). Some effort: farm the creature. Next best: Guardian's Emblem (−22% vs best), Stygian Bone Amulet (−41% vs best). No enchant for this slot adds these stats until level 40.
• Shoulder: Bloodmage Mantle, score 11.7: +9 spell power, +9 Intellect. Drops from Bloodmage Thalnos in Scarlet Monastery, 50% (Seen in Forever). Easy: about 2 runs. Next best: Berylline Pads (−6% vs best), Batwing Mantle (−21% vs best). No enchant for this slot adds these stats until level 55.
• Back: Tattered Kirin Tor Cloak, score 8.4: +5 hit, +8 Intellect. Drops from Blackfathom Deeps (Clue, unconfirmed). Some effort: a dungeon drop, chance not known yet. Next best: Thornweaver Drape (−6% vs best), Caretaker's Cape (−31% vs best). No enchant for this slot adds these stats.

A two-hander beats a one-hander and an off-hand here.

Stat weights (PvE)

hit 1.2, spell power 1, spell damage 1, Shadow Damage Done 1, haste 0.8, Spell Penetration 0.6, crit 0.4, Intellect 0.3, Stamina 0.2, Spirit 0.15.

Every item is scored with the spec's stat weights, for what the class can wear at that level (armour and weapon skills come from the Forever client, so Hunters and Shamans get mail at 40 and Warriors and Paladins plate at 40). Untouched Season of Discovery leftovers are left out.
